Tori's POV
The first call we got the next morning was from the police. None of us had gotten any sleep throughout the night.
I knew this because I had sat on the couch the entire night, and I could hear him shuffling about in his office, as though waiting for that particular call.
It did come, around the wee hours of the morning. He rushed down the stairs, and his eyes met my own weary ones.
He said nothing—just picked up the keys and motioned for me to follow him.
They had indeed caught Freddy, and he was in the interrogation room when we walked in.
“You! What else do you want from my family? Why are you making it so hard for us to live? You took my father, so why lock me up here?” he yelled as soon as he saw both of us walk through the door.
