CLARA’S POV “So,” I pressed on, tilting my head. “Do you remember?” Lisa’s jaw tightened, her eyes burning with fury as she glared at me. “That was a long time ago.” But beneath all that stubborn defiance, I saw it, the look of panic creeping in. She was trying so hard to act unfazed, but the cracks were showing. She was scared. “No, Lisa,” I countered smoothly. “That was just two years ago.
