Chapter Nine

    "Of course, I will. I have been wishing you would ask." I smiled. "Seriously? I was worried that you would have said no. Like maybe it was too soon or something." he exclaimed. I kissed him, and a hug and I said, "It wasn't too soon. I'm glad you asked." I smiled. "I'll let you go, babe, enjoy the rest of your night, I'll let you know when I make it home." he kissed me and then left.

I went inside and went straight upstairs to take a shower. I had an amazing day today. It was new for me. After getting out of the shower, I threw my hair up in a towel and went downstairs to find myself some food. I sent a text out to Jess.

  Me: Hey beautiful! Got some great news!

 Jess: Love! Where have you been

 Me: I am now a taken woman.

 Jess: OH MY GOSH, did he ask you?

Me: Yes, after he dropped us off from the date we had.

 Jess: How was it? What was the big surprise?

Me: Well I'm not sure if the part of asking me to be his girlfriend was a big surprise or if him renting the top of the mountain for the entire day was it.

Jess: He rented the entire top of the mountain? What! That's romantic as f**k.

 Me: It is, and boy do I have a lot to tell you. Are you busy?

Jess: I have someone over, if you catch my drift, I'll call you when she leaves?

Me: Yeah, that's cool. Have fun.

    I sat my phone down and climbed up on the couch with my journal, it's been a few months since I've written in there, but after today, I needed to. I began to write about Joey. How amazing he had been, how much fun that I had with him, and how he treated me when it came to s*x. I thought to myself, 'I don't know what it is about Joey, but I'm so happy that he asked me to be his girlfriend.' I'm now a taken woman. After finishing up my journal, I turn the television on, and the Notebook was on. It was about halfway through the movie, but I continued to watch it anyway. It was one of my favorite movies. I just loved how the main character, showed his wife every day how much he loved her, even though she didn't remember who he was. That showed dedication to how much you love someone. I could only hope that my future relationships could be that way. But it's a pipe dream you know? It only happens in the movies.

*Phone rings*

    "Hello?" I said. It was Jess. "Hey girl!" I exclaimed. "So, tell me about it," she said happily. "Well, he picked me up, and he took me to Mount Jynn. We walked to the top, he had me blindfolded so I didn't know where I was. Once we got to the top of the mountain he had a picnic table set up with candles, and plates, a tent with lights inside, and piles of pillows and covers. We fished and even went swimming in the pond and jumped in the steam tub behind the waterfall!" I said. "That sounds amazing! How nasty was the water?" she asked. "Nasty? It was anything but. The water was so clear! You could see the fish in the water. It was stunning." I said. "I'm so glad that you had a great time. It seems like he likes you to do all of that for you, you know. But you deserve it. More than anyone." Jess said. "He has a big umm, friend," I said as a referred to his bulge. "Oh my god, did you two have s*x?" she shouted. "Girl, yes, it was amazing. He knows what he is doing, that's for sure. How was your day with your friend?" I asked. "Eh, it was alright, honestly was just looking for a one-night stand. No one can keep up with me the way you do." she giggled. "So are you going to tell Joey about us?" she asked. "About us? Yeah, I plan on saying something. I would feel like s**t if I didn't. But I'm not going to say anything right away, I feel like I may scare him off if I do." I sighed. "Alright, well I'm going to go get a few drinks at the bar. Would you like to go?" She asked. "Sure, swing by and get me," I exclaimed.

    Within about 20 minutes or so Jess swung by to pick me up.

 Jess: I'm here b***h, come outside!

Me: Be there in 5.

    I gave Jess a huge hug. 'It's so nice to hang out with her I thought to myself. "I missed hanging out with you," she noted. "I know, I'm sorry that I have been hanging out with Joey a lot lately, and neglected you. I'm sorry very sorry. Can you ever forgive me?" I sighed. "There is no need to apologize. You found you a nice guy. I'm happy for you. You haven't been with anyone in ages. You deserve it." she smiled. "Now, let's go get a few drinks, okay?" he laughed.

     We got to the bar around 9 pm, the bar was open until midnight tonight because it's a weekday. Everyone started greeting us. All our regular customers. Jess and I chose to sit on the corner of the bar with the wall behind us. Our friend Amy was the bartender tonight. "I'll have a jager bomb with extra Jagermeister," said Jess. "And for you?" Amy said as she pointed to me. "Fireball please, and a blue motorcycle. I'm celebrating tonight." I exclaimed. "What are we celebrating?" asked Amy. "The man that I've been seeing, finally asked me to be his girl." I hollered.

     Jess and I were drunk by the time midnight rolled around, and we had to call a cab to come to get us. "You can just stay at my house tonight if you want," I whispered. The cab arrived, and the two of us went outside and climbed into the back seat. I told the driver where to take us and paid him once we arrived. Jess and I stumbled into my apartment, and to the bedroom. Neither of us brushed our teeth, and just fell onto the bed. We both passed out, but around an hour later, I felt her hand in my pants...
