Chapter Two:The feelings 👀

636 Words
Cynthia's mind was racing as she sat beside Henry in the car. They had just finished shopping, but her thoughts were still on the incident at the club the night before. Henry had seen a woman, and his reaction had been intense. As they drove home, Cynthia tried to gauge Henry's mood. Was he remembering anything? She glanced at him, trying to read his expression. Henry seemed calm, oblivious to her concerns. Cynthia's thoughts drifted back to the accident that had left Henry with amnesia. She had been by his side ever since, telling him they were married. But the truth was, she had been lying. She had no idea what their relationship was like before the accident, and she was scared that if he regained his memory, he might leave her. The woman at the club had triggered something in Henry. Cynthia could see it in his eyes. Who is that lady? she seems to know Henry,I must found out about her. I can't afford to lose him. But the fear lingered, refusing to be silenced. What if Henry's memory returned, and he left her? Cynthia's heart raced at the thought. She couldn't lose him now. She had to keep him close, no matter what. ***************************************************** Cynthia initially wanted to object to Henry's plan to meet his friend at the bar, but she decided to agree instead, not wanting to arouse Henry's suspicion. She pretended to be supportive, saying she'd let him go, all while hiding her true concerns. Henry sat at the bar, nursing his vodka, looking troubled. Richard walked in and approached him, but Henry didn't notice, lost in thought. Richard tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "What's wrong, man? You look like you've got a lot on your mind." Henry sighed and said, "I saw this woman the other night when Cynthia and I were out. I'm telling you, Richard, I felt this weird connection with her, but I have no idea who she is. She looked so sad, and it really got to me." Richard's expression turned curious. "That's weird. Do you think you might have met her before? Maybe you just don't remember?" Henry shook his head. "I don't know. It's like...I feel like I should know her, but my mind is a complete blank." "I'm noticing something strange about my wife, she has been acting weird since that night at the club. I don't know, It's like she's hiding something from me". Richard leaned in, his voice lowering. "Do you think it's connected to the woman you met? Maybe Cynthia saw something, or knows something about her?" Henry's eyes widened. "I didn't think of that. But why wouldn't she tell me?" I will have to ask her. "If you asked her,she might not tell you the whole truth. So, I will advice you to figure it out yourself."Richard said. Hmm, that a good idea, thank you so much Richard as they both shaked each other roughly. "So, Richard how is your side?"Henry asked "On my end, things are going well, but I've got someone on my mind," Richard said with a grin. "There's this woman at my office – stunning, smart, and kind. I think I might be falling for her, but she seems single." Henry chuckled. "Sounds like you're smitten! You've certainly painted a vivid picture." Richard laughed. "I know, right? But I need some advice. How do I approach her?" Richard's expression turned curious. "What do you suggest?" Henry offered some words of wisdom. "Take it slow, be extra nice. Offer to take her home, ask if she's eaten – that kind of thing. Women love guys who show they care." Richard's eyes lit up. "You're a genius, Henry! I'll definitely take your advice." The two friends shared a laugh and a moment of triumph, before parting ways.
