9 Cade Half of Neige had been taken by the curse by the time I arrived there. My legions were working hard to help my people evacuate before they were hurt. Without hesitating, I took off my cloak and joined the fray. I carried elderly and children, while yelling for young and adult fae to run. I assured them that their material possessions would be restored somehow, that all that mattered was their lives right now. Two or three fae didn’t want to abandon their houses, because that was where they'd raised their children or had last been with their late spouses.
