I was probably out of my freezing mind for getting close to a woman I would have to kill soon, but I couldn’t help myself. Every time I tried staying away, something pulled me to her. Despite all that was going on with my people and my court, I had to check on her, make sure she was okay.
Like a frosting fool, I put on one of my best outfits: white trousers and white tunic with silver embroidery, silver cuffs, and a white leather strap with silver details over my tunic. I also donned my white fur cloak, which I promptly took off when I arrived at the main dining table. The servants had cleaned the room, set the table for two with white plates, silver cutlery, and crystal glasses, and made what was supposed to be delicious fae food with a human twist.
