Chapter 17: Distractions

“I do not know if I can wait that long...” Zack helped Anna sit up on top of the examination table, and she swung her legs off the table. “But the second those hours are up,” he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear, “I am going to f**k you so hard you will forget your own name.” He pulled her into his arms and off the table, pressing a deep kiss to her lips. “Let’s go,” he said when her finally pulled away. “The waiting is the hardest part,” he added with a sigh. Anna straightened up and brushed the wrinkles out of her dress. “We could watch a movie, distract ourselves from the wait. Do you have popcorn at home?” Zack’s green eyes lit up at her suggestion. “f**k yes, I have popcorn,” he said with a wide grin. “And all the junk food we could want,” he added while they walked out of the examination room, his hand gently resting on her lower back. “A movie it is,” he declared when they walked out the clinic, “Something with lots of action so we can make out during the boring parts.” he added. Then they reached the car and Zack opened the passenger door for her. The drive back to Zack’s house was quick, and soon they were settled in the living room on the comfy grey couch with a large bowl of popcorn beside them. The living room floor is covered by a large area rug and a soft off-white tone decorated with irregular black linear patterns and abstract markings. Beneath it, a dark wood floor provides rich contrast. the couch is a large, light-grey upholstered sofa positioned against a smooth medium-grey features wall. The couch is generously decorated with an assortment of throw pillows in varying shades of grey, charcoal, white and patterned fabrics. A dark charcoal knitted throw blanket is casually draped over the left side of the sofa. Mounted directly above the sofa is a large framed abstract artwork features overlapping leaf-like organic shapes rendered in gradients of black, charcoal and grey against a pale background and framed with a simple wooden frame. Natural light floods the room from the left through the floor-to-ceiling windows that are partially concealed behind long, soft grey curtains. Beside the window stands a tall green indoor plant in a dark planter and in front of the sofa sits a pair of modern, circular black nesting coffee tables. Resting on the table is a carefully arranged decorative display consisting of a tall matte-grey ceramic vase holding delicate dries stems with small cream-coloured blossoms, a smaller metallic gold decorative vessel and a stack of hardcover books. Zack pulled Anna to his side, draping an arm over her shoulder. In front of them a large flat-screen television is mounted centrally on a charcoal-grey walls that stretches across the background. Positioned directly beneath the television is a long floating-style wooden media console supported by four short, angled legs and made of a warm honey-coloured natural wood. The cabinet consists of several wide drawers with nearly invisible handles and a few carefully selected decorative objects rest on top of the media console. On the left side sits a slender white ceramic vase holding several delicate stems with small flowers and green leaves. “What do you want to watch?” he asked, flipping through the channels. “Hmmm, I do not know. You said we should watch an action movie? How about the movie, Mr. Right? It has action, romance and comedy.” Zack nods with a smile, navigating to Prime Video and searching for the film. The movie poster shows on the screen, featuring two characters standing side by side against a plain white background. On the left stands Sam Rockwell, a casually dressed man with a confident yet playful expression. He has short brown hair and lightly facial stubbles and wears a bright red clown nose that contrasts humorously with the rest of his appearance. In his right hand, he casually holds a silver handgun pointed upward, with a think trail of smoke rising from the barrel. His outfit consists of a colourful short-sleeve button-up shirt covered in vibrant abstract and tropical style patterns, paired with light blue trousers. On the right stands Anna Kendrick, a young woman with long brown hair styled loose waves over one shoulder. She wears a serious, almost unimpressed expression. A black car-ear headband sits on her head, adding a playful touch to her otherwise composed appearance. She is dressed in a bright red T-shirt featuring a white unicorn graphic and a knee-length skirt decorated with colourful circular and floral patterns. In her right hand, she loosely holds a silver revolver pointed downward, contrasting with her calm posture. As soon as the opening credits started, he leaned in and captured her lips in a deep kiss. The kiss was slow and languid, a stark contrast to the fast-paced action on the screen. Zack’s hand slid from her shoulder down to her waist. “Much better than watching alone,” he murmured. His other hand rested on her thigh, his thumb stroking gentle circles on her skin. He continued to kiss her throughout the movie, occasionally pausing to comment on an explosion or a particularly cool stunt. “You are a good distraction, but it is still driving me crazy knowing I can’t f**k you yet,” he said, pressing his face into her brown hair and inhaling deeply. He shifted slightly, and Anna could feel the hard ridge of his erection pressing against her hip through his jeans. “Just a little longer,” he whispered, his voice husky with desire. Then they heard a car pull into the driveway outside, the garage door opened and then Zack’s father came in through the side door in the kitchen. He was on the phone. He looked at Zack and Anna on the couch. When he finished his conversation and ended the phone call, putting his phone in his pocket, he approached them. Zack tensed at the sound of his father’s voice, quickly pulling away from Anna. He sat up straight, trying to look casual, but the bulge in his jeans was still very noticeable. Zack’s father stood by the couch, arms crossed and a stern expression on his face. Zack’s father was wearing a tailored black suit with a fitted blazer and matching trousers, paired with a crips white dress shirt that is unbuttoned at the collar, giving him a polished yet relaxed appearance. His short brown hair is nearly styled with volume, and he has light stubble that complements his defined jawline. “What is this?” he asked, his gaze shifting between Anna and Zack. Zack shrugged nonchalantly and said, “Just watching a movie. What does it look like?” His father raised an eyebrow and said in a disapproving tone, “It looks like you have a girl over while I am not home. And from the looks of it, you two were doing more than just watching a movie.” he sighed heavily and ran a hand over his face. “Zack, we have talked about this. No girls in the house when I am not here.” Zack rolled his eyes. “Relax, dad,” he said, annoyed. Anna cleared her throat and said innocently, “We were just taking a break from studying, sir.” Zack’s father looked at her, his stern expression softening slightly at her innocent explanation. “Studying, huh?” he said, sounding skeptical but less angry. Zack jumped on the opportunity. “Yeah, Dad. We have been hitting the books all morning. Just taking a quick break.” His father sighed again, but this time he sounded more resigned than annoyed. “Fine, but keep it down and no funny business,” he said. He pointed a finger at Zack, “And you, clean up after yourselves,” he said sternly. With that, he turned and walked towards the kitchen, leaving Anna and Zack alone again. Zack let out a breath, he did not realize he was holding. “That was close,” he muttered, pulling her back into his arms. He pressed a quick kiss to her lips. “My dad is a hard ass sometimes,” he said with a grin. “I am sure he just cares about you. I am glad he is keeping random girls out.” Anna said playfully, “If he wasn’t...” Zack chuckled, “Yeah, yeah, he cares,” he said, rolling his eyes. “But he does not need to know everything about my life.” he tightened his arms around Anna, “And you are not a random girl, you are mine.” he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear. “If my dad knew how much I wanted to f**k you right now,” he whispered, his voice low and husky. “He would probably have a heart attack or something.” he trailed kisses along her jawline. “But do not worry,” he said between kisses. “We can be quiet.” “We have to finish the movie first,” Anna said softly, remembering the doctor's words, “How about this? If you can wait for the movie to finish, I will give you a blow job, right here on the couch.” Anna proposed while bitting her lower lip, adding to the seduction of her words. “Think you can manage that?” she asked with a smirk on her face, challenging Zack to hold back. His green eyes widened, a slow, predatory grin spread across his face. “A blow job?” he repeated, his voice a low growl. “Right here?” He leaned in closer, “f**k yes, I can wait,” he said without hesitation. “That is the best incentive I have ever heard.”
