The room fell silent as the power of the pack transferred from my dad to me.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Giving you what is yours.” He replied. “A few weeks ago, I doubted that you’d ever be ready to become Alpha.”
He chuckled and shook his head.
“I always thought that it would be your mate who would set you straight.” He continued. “But it was a small human who wandered into our territory. Ever since she showed up, you worked harder and started to become more of an Alpha.”
My heart warmed that he had noticed such a difference in me. I knew that I had been reckless and not really given him a reason to be proud of me before.
But that had changed when I met Jax, and I was happy that he saw it.
