It had been a few hours since we had seen Liberty's mother
Jake had taken Liberty for a walk. I had shown Astro to a cabin he could stay at until Jake gave me order’s for anything else. A wave of uncertainty had settled on me when Lib’s mother had been speaking of the darkness, I couldn’t shake her words as if they were true and that indeed that darkness would prevail and the war would be lost to the Jenkins pack.
The silence from everyone that was there in that room was deafening and I had to walk away from them and recentre myself. Since Carissa had left my body and Chance and I were the only ones that remained I had felt an emptiness that I couldn’t fill by myself.
