  POV Milo   As I ended the call with Jess I couldn’t help but feel irritated by her conversation but didn’t know why.   “All okay?,” Jake asked me.   I just nodded and said, “Jess is staying with a friend tonight, she is fine.”   Jake raised his eyebrow but didn’t say a word as we walked up to the door of the packhouse.   “Give me the man, I will put him in the basement. He can sleep off the beating you already gave him and be ready for another one tomorrow,” I said with a smile.   Jake just handed him to me, nodding and then entered the house and stormed off to the office.
