Instantly I felt remorse as I watched Liberty crash into the water, her spluttering just amplified my guilt. I could feel Chance growl shake my insides at what I had just done.
I stepped forward and tried to grab her from the water but as my hand touched hers, it was as if a shock was emitted through my hand up my arm and along my chest and I fell back on to the path.
I sat there stunned and dazed as she climbed the bank out of the water. My eyes grew wide as I saw that the facade of Faith's face had disappeared and Libertys had returned, I gasped covering my mouth as the shiver ran up my spine.
I shook my head, “I’m sorry… I don’t know what came over me!”, I stuttered.
