I forgot myself for a moment as Liberty appeared before me, I swept her up in my arms, not believing this was real. My guilt of everything I had done to cause her pain flowed through me and I squeezed her not allowing her to disappear again from me.
“Jake, Let go, I won’t disappear”, she said softly.
Zeus took in her scent and a low growl emitted from within,”Mate”, he growled.
“Mate”, she acknowledged.
I pushed her back and stared into her eyes for a moment seeing the recognition inside her.
