"Penny for your thoughts." He said in a low tone close to her ears, making her jump.
"You," Selena said to him and scanned the room for his wife. "Why was he here." she wondered. She felt her heart beating a little faster than normal.
"How have you been," John said smiling down at her.
"Great. And you.? Selena mumbled, unsure of what to say
" Cool." He replied, looking at her as if she would disappear if he blinked. She had changed over the years just physically, her face had few lines and she added some pounds but at the right places, she looked more beautiful to him, and he admired what he saw. He wasn't sure if her temperaments had changed though because he could still see the fire in her eyes.
"So where have you been," John asked, his eyes resting on her lips.
