What Could've Been Pt. 2

        She turned to him, “Please…. I just want to hug him.” He growled. Arion said, “I promise I will not take her from you or harm her. Please let me ease my sister's sorrow. We are practically drowning in it. I’ll even let you punch me later.” Aiden said, “No he won’t let you punch him.” Her Eric slowly let her go. He glared at Arion, “Only because you cannot lie, and it will make her happy.”  His Haley ran into Arion’s arms. He held her slowly shushing her. He told her, “You just cry little sister. I’ve got you.” That made her cry harder for some reason, but her sorrow was abating. My Eric came and wrapped his arms around me. I linked him, “You like Arion, right?” My Eric linked back, “Arion is clearly different here than there. That me hates him. He wants to kill him. I know that look on my face. He’s contemplating it.” I tensed. The other Haley calmed down. She pulled back and snapped Arion a new shirt. She wiped her tears, “I’m sorry. I ruined your shirt.” Arion said, “I don’t care sister. You can ruin any of my shirts. Are you ok?” She nodded, “I’m better. I’m so happy to see you here, brother.” Arion laughed, “I can tell.” She smiled softly. Her Eric took her back into his arms. Arion said, “I am sorry for whatever your version of me did to cause you such pain.” She shrugged, “It wasn’t…. well, it wasn’t even really his fault either.” 

        Her Eric snorted. Haley sighed, “I found some of your journals brother….it was mother’s fault. She’s such a f*****g cunt.” My eyes widened. Aiden’s jaw dropped. Haley stared at me though, “Don’t trust that b***h. Ever. She’s a manipulator, and she f*****g good at it.” Her Eric snorted. Arion popped in front of him, “Go on take your shot. Maybe you feel better.” My eyes widened. Without even waiting a beat, her Eric punched him in the face. Everyone was stunned. Arion fell to the floor. We all heard his jaw crack. Her Eric had broken his jaw. The other me popped to him and healed him. His eyes looked up surprised, “How can he hate me so much, and yet you…. still love me? Never mind…. you’re just so pure of heart. Honest to GOD have you met one of you in an alternate reality that isn’t selfish?” Her Eric said, “No, not even the one who was sold to King Damon, AS A f*****g SNACK!” Aiden’s hands lit on fire. My jaw dropped. Arion popped up yelling, “WHAT?! WHO THE f**k WOULD DO THAT?!” Eric hissed, “Fabian.” Bjourn’s jaw ticked, “He’s dead here.” Her Eric said, “Well thank f**k for that. Even mine who was kidnapped and taken from me. Put through sims and was slowly losing her mind and soul being apart from me while pregnant isn’t selfish.” 

        Arion said, “No me would EVER put her through SIMS! Especially not when she was pregnant!” The other Haley quickly said, “You didn’t. You stopped it.” Her Eric growled. She popped back to her Eric. She put her hands on his chest. He instantly put her behind him glaring at Arion. The other me spoke, “So Emmaline and I need to fix Uncle Zader. Is that it?” My Eric answered her, “No, Satan’s coven is larger than you think.” Her Eric said, “We knew that. My Angel put it together last year.” The other Haley said, “And I killed their f*****g asses in Louisiana when they helped David take Emmaline from us. Well me and Lex killed them. Do you know Lex?” I smiled, “I know Lex, Miles, and Emmaline. We were raised together. People call us the fearsome foursome.” Her eyes field with tears, “Oh well that’s…. just f*****g awesome.” 

        My Eric asked, “Why are you so much shorter than my Haley?” Her Eric growled at Aiden and Arion. They both stepped back surprised at the venom in his growl. The other me said, “Oh well…. that’s not really important.” Aiden said, “I think it is. Fairies are not short. Your Hackura family is not short. You were clearly not meant to be short.” Marcus said, “Isn’t it obvious?” I turned to him in surprise. He was pissed. His eyes, Bjourn’s and blaze were burning gold. The other Haley said, “Marcus….” Her Eric said, “Her legs were broken so many times as a child that it stunted her growth.” My jaw dropped. Her Eric wasn’t done though, “Every bone in her body was broken multiple times by the sick f***s in Faerie. While you sat back and watched.” Aiden and Arion flinched. His Haley said, “No…. they weren’t always there. Aiden traveled and Arion was with him a lot of the f*****g time.” Her Eric glared at my brothers, “You watched them beat your sister though. You did nothing.” His Haley closed her eyes, “Because they were f*****g told to.” 

        She had everyone’s attention including her Eric. He growled, “What?” She sighed, “I found…. I found a port of Arion’s. Alania, the f*****g b***h that she is…. she told them it would cause unrest in Faerie. She told them our family could lose power if they stopped people from getting their f*****g aggression out on me. She told them that was my f*****g price to pay for being a Royal. That we all had to make sacrifices. She informed them I would not be killed because that’s her f*****g threshold for me. Arion sobbed about it on his port. He didn’t want to be held f*****g responsible for my death or Aiden’s if our family lost power. She f*****g manipulated them. When a family takes over the reigning family in Faerie. No one is left alive. They are executed in the streets. I would’ve r***d in front of them.” Her Eric growled, “f*****g Alania! You WERE r***d there!” Aiden’s hands were on fire again. She touched her Eric’s face, “They did not know that.” He growled, “They should’ve.” She kissed him lightly on the cheek, “Aiden and I have spoken about this. While I wish Alania hadn’t f*****g died peacefully…. she’s gone.” Aiden, Arion, and I all exchanged glances. Her Eric’s jaw ticked. Oh...I don’t think my mother went peacefully like she thought. Haley continued, “Arion protects me from Uncle Fabian in my dreams in the Beyond now. As for Aiden…. you know he’s changed. He regrets all of it.” Her Eric sighed, “Does Aiden know about the ports you found?” She looked away. He sighed, “I won’t kill this realities Arion, Angel. You should tell Aiden.”

        Arion said, “Why would you kill me? None of us have a relationship with our mother anymore in this reality. She’s VERY annoying.” Aiden said, “Nor will we. Or our children. If your Arion is dead, then she stopped the light from bonding with the enforcer. Do you have the truths ina the fairies (Hidden truths of the fairies) to read?” Haley looked away. Her Eric asked, “What is that? Why do you feel guilt and Shame Haley?” Aiden said, “A book that was missing until some unhid it in our library. Our Eric gave it to me.” Her Eric said, “Haley….” She started to cry, “I didn’t know we were the promised siblings.” Arion said, “My death is not your fault. You clearly think it is, but you are wrong. You found the book as a child then…. but you didn’t know what would save my life. You take the weight of the world on, little sister. No matter the reality.” Aiden asked, “Do I have the book?” Haley shook her head. He walked over to her, “Tell your me. He will not be upset. You would’ve saved Arion if you could. I know that, and so will he.” Our Emmaline popped in with Dale, Lucas, and Dylan. Dylan squealed, “YES! TWO HALEY’S! You were having a ribbon conversation with us Alpha Fun Sucker! For shame! This one…. she is short…. she’s A FUN SIZED FAIRY! YES! Tell me Fun Size…. will one of you fit in my pocket so I can take you out and cause mischief?” I said, “This is the Haley that brought me to my dad.” Dale ran over and hugged her, “Thank you so much for saving my Lacy.” Her Eric said, “Dale...put her down.” Dale turned, “What? Eric… I would never hurt her…. I hope you know that in any reality.” His Haley turned green. Actually green and popped away. My Eric stiffened. 

        Her Eric said, “She doesn’t do well when people outside her family touch her.” Blade punched a wall. Tears filled my eyes. She saved me from that. Dale frowned, “I’m very sorry.” I said, “You had no way of knowing. She won’t be upset with you.” Her Eric said, “She won’t. Neither am I Dale. It’s just our reality. She’s getting better.” Dale sighed, “She saved my baby I just….” I said, “I’ll go talk to…. myself.” I walked up the stairs. I figured she popped to her and Eric’s room. She was shaking and holding herself. Arion had popped to her. He spoke to her, granting her the calmness of the earth. She smiled at him and spoke the space unheard chant. She said, “Thank you brother.” He said, “I’m sorry for our relationship in your reality. I’m an asshole. Even here.” She smiled sadly, “You’re not an asshole. People f*****g manipulated you when you were grieving the death of your dad. It’s not your fault those who were supposed to f*****g guide you were assholes.” He kissed the top of her head, “You are treasure even the you’s that have suffered are going to give me fits with your lack of selfishness.” She smiled, “I hope that I see you in the beyond soon. He’ll be so excited about this reality.” Arion said, “I’ll protect every version I find of you that comes here. I’ll tell them to kick me in the teeth in their reality and tell them to shape up. I’ll write notes to all of them. I’ll put myself on notice.” Tears filled her eyes, “I miss you so much brother. I am so sorry.” 

        He studied her. He held her hands, “I know no version of me blames you for whatever happened. Let go of it, little sister.” She wiped her tears, “You don’t understand.” I knew she was wrong. Arion sighed and sat down, “You killed me, didn’t you?” She cringed, “I didn’t want to Arion! I begged you to stop. You were going to take my children…. I couldn’t have my Cassie, Alexander, or EJ being studied. You didn’t want that but Masium would’ve. He would’ve followed Uncle Fabian's footsteps and followers. I couldn’t…. not my babies.” Arion hugged her., “You did what you had to do. That will not happen here. I have bonded with my sister. I chose the right path. I am capable of it.” She smiled, “I always knew you were. I knew if the three of us stood together… nothing could stop us. I am so happy for you guys.” Arion smiled, “Talk to… yourself. I’ll take my leave. Just know I love you Haley Melody. You shine inside and out. To know you is to know true happiness. I’ll do what I can to make sure other me’s know that.” She grabbed his hand, “I love you Arion. I always have.” He smiled, “As I have always loved you. Even your me did.” He popped away.

        I sat down. I linked My Eric, “If Arion popped back down to you… please don’t let her you kill him.” My Eric said, “I don’t think he will because would upset his Haley, but I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen.” I smiled, “Thank you.” I asked her, “Are you ok?” She smiled, “I’m doing better, I just wasn’t f*****g prepared for the hug.” I signed, “Do you cuss so much because fairies consider it improper?” She smiled, “It’s how I remind myself I am f*****g free. I was hit for speaking and every time I’m not when I say s**t, f**k, or damn... I remember that time of my life is over.” I said, “Thank you doesn’t seem enough for me to say to you for sparing me.” She smiled, “You are me. I couldn’t leave you to suffer. So did you and Eric know each other your whole life?” I smiled, “We started exchanging letters when I was five. He answered all my werewolf questions. Later he started bouncing pack ideas off me. When I was fifteen, I found your letter. Arion helped me get a phone so I could talk to him. We had code names, but he knew it was me.” She smiled, “That’s so f*****g sweet.” I smiled, “He’s my best friend.” She fanned her face, “Awwww…” 

        I asked, “Do you wish you had waited to get married?” Haley said, “I’d have liked more time to plan. It was a bit f*****g hectic. I removed a charm and was unfuckingconscious.” I frowned, “For a few days?” She winced, “I denied my fairy side for a long ass time. Only in the last few years have I truly accepted it.” I looked away, “Thank you really doesn’t seem to be enough. Because Aiden knew we were the promised siblings…. I could remove a charm easily. I’d be tired, but I’d just need food. I can’t imagine what you’ve gone through.” She smiled, “I’m glad you don’t. There are other versions of ourselves out there that do not suffer as I did. I do my best to make damn sure of that. As you will. You’re already twice light bound to him.” I smiled, “I am.” She said, “You don’t need to worry. He’ll respect your wishes about marrying him. He’s an amazing f*****g man. He’s everything.” I smiled, “I know he is. I don’t want to hurt his feelings…. it’s just the Hackura…” She smiled, “Don’t get married before a long ass time. Just really think about your f*****g feelings about it. No one will be upset with you if you get married before being marked for a damn decade.” I nodded, “I’ll think about it.” She smiled, “If that’s what you f*****g decide though…. if that’s what you f*****g want, then he will respect it.” I smiled, “He already has an engagement ring.” She squealed, “Of f*****g course he does! I f*****g love that man! Does it look like mine?” She held her ring out. It was very pretty. Somehow me but not quite. I shrugged, “I haven’t seen it. Cassandra mentioned that I wasn’t wearing the ring.”

        Haley snorted, “Of course she f*****g did.” I smiled, “I kicked her ass.” Haley’s eyes widened, “YOU DID WHAT b***h?!” I laughed, “I told her to curb her attitude or fight me. She didn’t back down, so I challenged her, and she accepted.” Her eyes were wide, “Did it f*****g work? Is she less of a b***h?” I shrugged, “I went to talk to her and told her to respect me. We will never be buddies, but I’ve decided Mrs. Blanch is my chosen mother-in-law.” Haley smiled, “She’s the f*****g best. I might have to try your way in my reality. It’s all gotten…. very out of f*****g hand.” I smirked, “Probably couldn’t hurt then.” She sighed, “What about Claudzilla? Is she causing problems?” I said, “Claudwho?” She smiled, “Guess not then. If you meet her watch the f**k out. She wants Eric because she’s a power hungry b***h. A bad one.” Before I could ask Miley, Emmaline, and Lexi popped into the room.

        She smiled, “Hey guys. I hear in this realm we are the fearsome foursome. I’m f*****g stealing that when I go home. You’ll all f*****g love it.” She looked at Lexi, “Chase wasn’t married here, was he? Swear to god if my f*****g note didn’t fix that s**t…. I’ll lose my damn mind.” Lexi hissed, “MARRIED?! I will CUT a b***h!” She flashed downstairs. The other me laughed, “Oops?” Lexi flashed back in, “He’s not married.” I snorted, “Good f*****g thing or I’d kick his ass! Tell me you kicked his ass!” I demanded of the other me. She smiled, “I kicked his wife’s f*****g ass. Pretty badly…. I even turned her into a snake and f*****g stomped on her. They didn’t love each other though. It was supposed to be for a set amount of time. They weren’t f*****g, and he wanted to be done. There was a whole hell of a f*****g lot going on.” Lexi hmphed, “Do I need to watch out for some string stealing woman?” We all folded our arms. The other me laughed, “No. On another subject…. How’s Heath? Has anyone met Teke?” I frowned, “Heath’s fine. He got rejected but he’s fine.” Haley’s eye’s widened, “Who the f**k rejected him?!” Lexi hissed, “Dani…. who is he with within your reality?” Haley sighed, “Through a series of…. honest to god events…. he’s with Allie.” 

        I smiled, “She’s his second chance here. She’s just not eighteen yet.” Haley nodded. Emmaline said, “We need to find Teke...how do we do that Ribbon Haley?” I frowned, “Why do we need to find him?” The other me smiled, “You are very good with your powers in this reality Emmaline.” She smiled, “I have you to thank for that. I was raised by my dad.” She smiled broadly, “I’m guessing that brought Logan and Katie together then much sooner?” Emmaline grinned, “They’ve been together since this you was five.” She teared up a little, “I’m so happy for my brother. Have they all found their mates in this seriously afuckingmazing reality?” I smiled, “All but Arion, but we will find this witch named Megan and see….” Emmaline said, “Gotta find her too. They are paired here as well.” I smiled, “Good. Who is Teke?” Emmaline smiled, “Sophia’s mate.” Lexi clapped, “OH YES! She’s so cool! She’s being crowned Alpha here soon. We all have to go! I’m so excited! Her, Chase, Cameron, and Reagan have been friends their whole lives!” Haley smiled, “Reagan is ok here? I tried to make sure she’d be f*****g protected even if she wasn’t Cameron’s mate.” Lexi said, “Oh yeah! They are super cool! She’s bummed they haven't had a kid yet.” The other Haley’s eyes went wide. She smacked herself in the face, “Oh my god! Is she here? I’m so f*****g stupid! I can’t BELIEVE I forgot about that!” 

        Lexi frowned, “No, she’s got an appointment with a specialist. She was tired of waiting for it to f*****g happen. Cameron wanted her to wait a little longer, but she didn’t want to.” She said, “We have to go! Right f*****g now!” She grabbed us and popped to the guys. She told her Eric, “I forgot about f*****g Reagan! She’s at the stupid f*****g doctor’s office!” Chase growled, “What about Reagan?” She whirled to face him, “Is Cameron with her? Tell me he’s f*****g with her?” Chase frowned, “He’s ten minutes behind her. He’s surprising her.” The other me’s Eric hissed, “We have to f*****g go. Pop us to her, Angel.” My Eric grabbed me. The girls grabbed me too. We popped to Reagan. She was in a doctor’s office, and all hell had broken loose. There were men trying to grab her. She was in wolf form, but she was wobbling. I gasped, “They drugged her!” I threw the men across the room. Chase growled, shifting as he did. He began to rip people apart. Cameron barged into the room seconds later snarling. He vaulted over the desk and jumped in front of Reagan as she passed out. The other me was taking out her anger on those left. I popped to Reagan.

        I could feel the witch's magic. Why were they stopping her from having a baby? That was cruel! She thought something was wrong with her. I held my hand over her. I healed her from the drugs and removed the magic binding her womb. I stepped back and swayed. I never got to eat my dinner. Arion groaned, “You haven’t eaten today, have you? I swear to god, little sister.” The other Haley giggled as Aiden snapped me a pepperoni pizza and Dr. Pepper. Her Eric looked at Arion with a puzzled look. Arion said, “Oh stop looking around Hales, and eat the food our brother snapped for you. There will be NO passing out from healing a she wolf. Bleeding heart siblings. She would’ve been just fine with two healing sessions since you hadn’t eaten today. Jesus Christ!” He looked at the ceiling, “Goddess Azoney I need answers for why you put so much on me!” The other me was cackling. My Eric asked, “Who is goddess Azoney?” I answered, “That’s the fairy goddess's true name.” My Eric nodded. Dylan got out a notebook and wrote it down. I laughed. 

        The other me spoke to Reagan. She said, “I’m so f*****g sorry Reagan…. I completely forgot about the spell on you so you couldn’t get pregnant. I just remembered that Cameron needed to make sure you weren’t taken on your birthday.” Reagan stood, “You did so much for this reality. Cameron was guarding me on my birthday. Because of you he held himself back with Chase’s help. We caught the group of men who tried to take me.” Her Eric said, “You get no warning Angel. We are here. We saved her. She is fine and now she and alpha Cameron can have a pup here.” Cameron startled, “I’m not an Alpha.” Her Eric laughed, “In our reality you are. You and Chase implemented what my brothers and I did. You combined your packs. We had many meetings about it. Peter Kyle is looking to do the same with his brothers. It’s changing how we do things. Your pack and our alliance is stronger for it.” Chase grinned broadly. The other Haley suddenly couldn’t keep her eyes open. They were about to go back. I said, “Thank you for everything you did for us here. We are so grateful.” Aiden said, “We truly are.” Arion said, “You are too pure for this world. We do not deserve you, little sister.” Her Eric grabbed her, and both their eyes closed. They vanished from before us.

Eric came up behind me, “That was very confusing.” I smiled, “I’ll say.” I went and hugged Arion, “I love you brother.” He smiled, “As I love you.” I asked, “Are you ok?” Arion said, “I am fine. Her me is not me. I could never hurt you, and I’ll do what I can for other realities me’s for both our sakes. Any me who misses out on how amazing you are belongs in the beyond protecting you.” I smiled, “Would you like to meet your mate brother?” Arion smiled broadly, “She told you who my mate is?” I nodded, “Emmaline confirmed she’s your mate here too.” Arion held out his hand. I turned, “I’ll be right back Eric.” Eric nodded to Blade. Arion snorted but Blade grabbed my shoulder. I thought of Megan the witch and popped to a coven. Arion said, “We need to hustle. This is vampire territory.” I heard someone say, “So why would you pop here…. OH MY GOD! My mate is a fairy?!” Arion smiled, “You are gorgeous, mate. My witch.” She blushed, “Well, thank you… what’s your name?” He smiled, “I am Prince Arion Holloran.” Megan gaped, “Prince Arion?! SHUT UP!” 

Arion whirled and put me behind him. I heard fangs come down. Megan said, “I don’t f*****g think so!” She began to chant, and the vampires were pulled backwards. They were hissing as the door slammed in their faces. Arion turned, “My powerful little witch.” She smiled, “It's temporary. Let’s get out of here so we can talk.” I popped them back to Eric and I’s house. Megan asked, “Is this...am I in the Conners territory?” Arion said, “My sister’s wolf. Yes.” Megan whirled, “SHUT UP!” I rolled my eyes, “This realm and those words.” Arion laughed and held Megan close to him. He said, “I plan to spend time here with my sister. I would like to show you my home in Faerie though.” Megan blushed, “The castle? You want to show me Faerie?” Arion smiled, “It is my home, and you are my mate.” She smiled, “I’d love to see it. I’m not ready to give up living in this realm though.” Arion smiled, “What about moving? I purchased a home in this territory. Less vampires, and I assure you, it’s quite a nice house.” Megan smiled, “I could do that. Look at that…. a fairy who compromises. Who knew?” Arion laughed and popped her away.
