It's A Trick Pt. 3

        She told me that now that we’d met, and she was old enough it would happen. Oh god. When? We needed somewhere to go. I’d kill anyone who approached her if she was in that state. She told me we could go to her island in the Hackura realm. I smiled. I could take her to our family’s palace in Hawaii. It was remote, and there was a pack there that could run patrols for us. Haley was giddy excited because she’d never been there. I’d take her to see the world if she wanted. We agreed when this happened, she’d pop us to my house in Hawaii. I’d have Caleb call the Alpha down there. She was nervous to ask me about pups. I smiled. I couldn’t wait to have pups with her. I did want to wait until she was eighteen because of the realm we were in. If we lived in a realm with supernatural’s only…. I’d knock her up so fast her head would spin. She felt nervous again when she asked how many kids I wanted. I laughed. I wanted a big family. I was jealous of all the Alpha’s who already had several kids while I had none and no mate by my side. Haley was excited. She wanted a houseful of kids. House full? I was curious what that actually meant. She hoped she gave birth like a fairy. They sneezed out kids? Where was Dylan with that information? I asked how many kids Aiden had. We knew of four. Haley said he had six. Damn. Fairies were surprisingly good at keeping information they wanted secret…. secret. I asked if that was close to the number of kids she wanted. I felt her embarrassment as she shook her head.

        I laughed and told her it mattered. I had the money as did she. We could have as many as she wanted. I was just curious. I threw out ten kids. She told me to double it. I couldn't stop my laugh. She wanted twenty kids? We’d be busy. She shrugged and said when she turned a century old, she might want to start over with more. Holy f**k. We were going to have lifespans like fairies…. we were going to live to be centuries old. Oh god. I was going to have to talk to a vampire about identities. I kissed her and told her we could have as many kids as she wanted. I asked if our kids could pop and conjure things like fairy children. She said they should be able to. Oh good god. She smiled talking about teaching them to pop like Aiden taught her. I couldn’t wait to see her with our pups. She teased me saying I was the hold up. I wondered how many concupiscence she would have. My jaw dropped when she said Aiden suspected she’d have three. I needed to buy stock in an energy drink. Jackson linked me, “Darrin is two steps away from killing Scarlett.” I sighed. I told Haley I needed to handle that. She asked if I wanted her help. I did but I didn’t want her to see the things I was going to do Otis. It made no sense to part of me. She’d seen worse, but never from me.

        Haley accepted my reasons and popped us to the yard. Jackson was waiting. I turned to go, but he stopped Haley. I asked him, “Brother?” He linked back, “I need to talk to her. Alone.” I frowned, “Why?” He said, “She’s a sister to me now Eric. I need to talk to her. Give us a minute then I will join you.” I evaluated him then walked away. I stalked into the dungeon. Jackson hadn’t been kidding. Darrin had whipped Scarlett badly. I snorted, “Brother?” Darrin said, “Amber is SOBBING! This treacherous b***h got close to her…. she gave them their hair Eric! Some covens could take them from us at any time.” I growled, “WHAT?!” Scarlett whimpered, “I just needed money!” I growled, “You have plenty of opportunities to earn money here.” Scarlett snorted, “I don’t want to work. I was meant to be a Luna.” Harold growled, “You are not worth the dirt under our Luna’s nails.” I turned, “Do what you want with her brothers.” Jackson walked in. I said, “Scarlett, for your betrayal...I sentence you to death.” I linked Jackson, “These packs have hairs…. they could apparently take the girls…. Scarlett gave it to them.” Jackson growled in anger and tore into Scarlett’s cell.

        I walked over to Otis, “Hell Otis.” He glared at me. I said, “You said things...things about my mate. I did not care for them.” I snapped his wrist. Marshall was standing there. He growled, “What did the warlock say about my Luna?” I smiled, “Oh…. just that she would be taken from me. That she was not safe from me here.” Marshall growled. Otis said, “She will be. You cannot keep her. She’ll be sold and abused. You’ll feel every time she’s r***d. There’s a line.” I roared and grabbed his tongue. I cut it out then made him eat it. I growled, “There’s a special place in hell for men like you. Taking a woman against her will. You are WEAK!” Otis screams sounded strangled now that he had no tongue. I felt Haley’s emotions slam into me. She was stunned, surprised, and also excited. What the hell was she doing? I heard Otis’ heart beat slow then stop. I growled, “Oh of course he can’t handle torture.” Marshall said, “Warlocks…. don’t tend to withstand torture like other supernatural’s, Eric. You fed him his tongue. I’m surprised he didn’t choke and aspirate on it.” I hissed, “Fucker! I had things to do to him.” Marshall said, “We won’t let anyone take her Eric. She’s our Luna. She is YOUR mate.” 

        A warrior linked me, “Umm…. Liam just took off like a bat out of hell. We were halfway back, and now he’s just gone. Is there danger?” I growled, “There better not be.” Just then Haley linked me saying umm. She was a little worried and confused. Judy linked me, “There’s a fairy with the Luna. Liam blocked me out. Is she dangerous? He’s growling.” I yelled out loud, “Everyone on me.” I saw Darrin kill Scarlett and run after me. I took the stairs three at a time. I ran out into the field. Liam shifted back. He did look murderous, but his eyes were Blade. Oh s**t. I linked Jackson, “That fairy is Liam’s mate.” Jackson said, “No way.” He growled, “MINE!” The pack link went crazy. People ran into the yard to see. I saw Liam’s little sister clapping excitedly, “Mom! Liam found his mate!” The fairy popped to him. She threw her arms around him. Carry, Liam’s little sister gasped, “It’s a fairy! MOM! DAD! LIAM HAS A FAIRY TOO! JUST LIKE THE ALPHA!” Haley cleared her throat, “Bex…. that’s Liam. At least I’m pretty sure that’s Liam.” Jackson said, “NO f*****g WAY! We have a duchess of the Hackura mated to someone in our pack and NOW a duchess of the fairy’s?! I need to sit down.” Liam’s dad ran over to me, “She’s the duchess of fae?” I said, “One of them. That’s Bexley.” Liam's dad nodded, “The earth and sky duchess.” I nodded, “That would be the houses she belongs to, yes.” Liam growled at Blade. Haley sighed, “He doesn’t want Bex, Liam. He’s gay.” 

        I said, “Liam…. take your mate to your place.” He took off. Bexley laughed, “See you later cousin. I think we are going to get in lots of trouble here! Call my dear cousin, the king for me. Tell him not to expect me back.” Haley yelled, “You got it Bex.” She took out her phone. Aiden answered, “Sister.” She smiled, “Brother, I’m calling you for Bex. She came to visit me and found her mate.” Aiden sighed, “Another wolf? Oh for the love of god!” Haley laughed, “She’s happy.” Aiden said in a calm tone, “He better make sure she stays that way. I will see you soon sister.” She hung up. Haley popped to me. I looked around, “Mates are being found all over the place people…. what can I say?” I threw my head back and howled. The pack joined me. Caleb came running up, “We have a call we need to take, Eric.” Haley kissed me, “Later?” I smiled, “Later.” I jogged inside with my brothers behind me. I walked inside and saw the Beta from Green Timbers on the phone. I frowned, “Beta Regert?” The Beta sighed, “Alpha Eric. My Alpha insisted I call you and get a meeting. He won’t say why...he’s in a panic.” I raised an eyebrow, “Why isn’t he on the phone?” Beta Regert sighed, “He took off. He had a meeting.” I frowned, “What meeting?” Beta Regert hung his head, “I don’t know. He’s cut me out of things. Can you…. I’m worried he’s been spelled.” I winced, “We are on the way.” 

        I called Logan, “Eric.” I said, “We need you and Katie. We might have another spelled Alpha.” Logan sighed, “We are coming.” He opened a portal. Katie stepped out with Marcus and Bjourn. Marcus said, “I’ll stay with Haley.” Bjourn said, “We both will.” Logan shrugged, “I’m with Katie.” I smiled, “Let’s get going then. It’s a forty-minute drive. I’d say just open a portal, but we need to plan. The Alpha’s not even there right now.” I linked Darrin, “Meet us out front.” Darrin grunted, “Fine.” Harold and Darrin were in an SUV when we got there. Marshall was waiting too. Our group piled into the car. I got into the driver’s seat. 

        Haley popped outside my door. She smiled, “Leaving without saying goodbye?” I smiled, “Goodbye Angel.” She leaned in and kissed me. I saw Marcus, Bjourn, and Blade out of the corner of my eye. She tilted her head, “Hi Logan. Hi Katie.” Katie smiled, “Hi Hales.” Haley smirked, “Congrats you two.” Katie frowned, “Huh? OH MY GOD SHUT UP!” Haley laughed, “Why do people always say that?” Logan asked, “Why are we being congratulated for being in a car?” Katie slapped his thigh and straddled him. They started making out. Bjourn was laughing. Katie pulled back, “I’m pregnant.” Logan grinned broadly, “Really?” Haley said, “Really.” She kissed me again and we started driving. Marshall said, “I’m not down to be a porno you two. My mate would kill me, and I just found her. Help me not piss her off already.” Logan pulled back from Katie. She giggled and sat in her seat. He pulled her back to his lap and locked his arms around her.

        Marshall said, “So…. if he’s spelled, what do we do?” Katie said, “I perform the spell to revert him back to his normal self. Logan will be extra touchy and kill him if he tries…. literally anything.” I locked eyes with Logan in the rearview. Katie wasn’t kidding. I didn’t bother to tell him to try not to kill Alpha Young. I knew anyone who twitched near a Hackura’s pregnant mate was asking for them to overreact. Everyone settled into the ride. I told Logan, “Satan’s Coven is the ones who sends your father all the letters for everyone about Haley.” Logan’s eyes glowed, “Are they?” I nodded, “Yup.” Logan nodded. Everyone was quiet after that. We were ten minutes out when Marshall’s yell of surprise caused me to slam on the break. I turned around and gaped. Caleb threw the car into park. We all stared at the back of the car. Katie said, “That was just…. weird. Cool but weird.” Marshall poked the other reality me that was asleep in the car. The other me woke up and looked around. He said, “Well, at least in this reality the other me appears to know this realities Haley since Logan is here.” I nodded, “I do.” He said, “This never gets less f*****g weird. I’m talking to myself. What’s this realities story?” I said, “Well, another reality Haley brought mine to her Hackura family. She was raised there.” The other me nodded, “So she’d be three now… right?” I snorted, “No. She’s seventeen.” The other me’s jaw dropped, “Ummm WHAT? Other realities time moves at different speeds too?! GOD this s**t gets more complicated.” I frowned, “What are you talking about?” The other me said, “My Haley is the one who brought your Haley to her Hackura family. For us that was three years ago.” 

        I nodded, “Ok that’s…. weird.” The other Eric asked, “The whole thing is f*****g weird. f*****g fairies. Where are we going?” I told him, “We think Green Timbers Alpha is spelled. Did you guys know that’s what was wrong with Alpha Max? Even Alpha Theo’s brother was spelled.” That other me winced, “No... I didn’t know either of those things, but Green Timbers Alpha’s isn’t spelled. This is a trap. Green Timbers, Silver Wing, Red Rivers, and Golden Run caused my brother’s mate's accident. They couldn’t have pups until my Haley showed up. Scarlett betrayed us. They took Shana from us using her hair and a warlock.” I asked, “Who the f**k is Shana?” The other me said, “Darrin’s mate.” Darrin growled, “My mate’s name is Amber.” Eric shrugged, “Ok…. not in our reality. This is going to be a trap for someone to take the girls while you all aren’t there.” I linked Haley, “Get to my brother’s mates.” Haley said, “Uhhh we all together talking to the other me who is weirded out that I’m already seventeen.” I snorted, “Your Haley is with mine.” The other Eric smiled, “I know.” 

        I thought about it, “Beta Regert seemed genuinely upset.” The other me said, “He doesn’t know. The Alpha’s of those packs are plotting. They all cut the beta’s out in our reality. Our Haley’s are going to the other packs to bring the Alpha’s back with Blade, Bjourn, and Marcus. She has pack warriors on my brothers…. your brothers... f**k this s**t is weird…. the Luna’s guarding them. My mate wants to take Tabitha home with us.” Harold growled, “MINE!” The other me laughed, “I won’t take you from her brother.” Logan opened a portal, “In you go, Katie.” She groaned, “Logan!” He said, “Nope...you’re pregnant. In you go. Go tell our son he’s about to become an older brother.’ Katie kissed him hard. She pulled back, “If you so much as get a scratch I will curse the ENTIRE pack!” She went through the portal. Logan smiled, “I love that woman.” I linked Judy, “I need warriors in cars to all the packs your Lunas can tell you about. We are taking over tonight.” Judy linked, “Yes, Alpha.” The other Eric said, “So Emmaline is alright in this reality?” Logan said, “She was raised by Marcious. David is dead.” The other me nodded, “That’s good.” We kept going forward. I said, “Stay in the car…. Eric…. other me. Damn what do I call you? How often do you get pulled into the ribbon?” The other me shrugged, “Not as much as Haley. Probably three out of every ten times.” I gaped, “She goes in that much?” The other Eric nodded. 

        I got out of the car. Beta Regert and Alpha Young were waiting. Alpha Young said, “I miscommunicated with my Beta. We don’t need you.” I nodded, “Sure…. well we are here.” Alpha Young looked worriedly at Logan. His eyes were blazing. He asked, “Why are you with a Hackura?” I glared at him, “I typically bring backup to enemy territory. Especially when I found out this was a trap to take my brother’s Luna’s. You’ve been very naught Alpha Young. Your poor Beta thought you were spelled. Don’t worry. My mate is rounding up the Alpha’s from Silver Wing, Red Rivers, and Golden Run.” I heard the other me snort, “And killing witches.” I frowned. Alpha Young asked, “Who was that?” I said, “You’ll find out. You’re coming back with us.” I punched him, knocking him out. Beta Regert said, “You…. he…. I…. we had nothing to do with any plot! I swear to you!” I nodded, “I know. I have warriors on the way. Run your pack until we decide what to do with them. I have no need to replace good people. You will remain the Beta here, and you will be kept under watch.” Beta Regert said, “He has a son.” I said, “I know. He’s eighteen.” Beta Regert said, “You know?!” I said, “I do. He kicked the mother out of his pack. She’s in mine now. I’ll discuss it with him if he wants to take over this pack. It’s his decision though. If he doesn't want it…. I’ll figure it out.” Beta Regert said, “I’d be glad to have him.” 

        I touched his arm, “I’m sorry. I know the bond between an Alpha and his Beta. Beta Regert looked away, “We’ve never had that. He never included me.” I frowned, “I am sorry for that too. Whoever comes in next…. that will not be the case.” Beta Regert nodded. I commanded him, “Wait for my warriors to hold your pack meeting. If any are involved…. they can help you capture them.” He nodded. We got back in our car. I gunned it back. The other me said, “Does your Haley hate witches and warlocks? Because…. whoever was at those packs are going to be VERY dead. My Haley hates them. It’s kill first, and not give a f**k later attitude she has going on with them.” Logan stiffened, “She loves Katie.” The other me said, “Oh she does in our reality too. Katie is an exception to her along with Megan. Lisa too. She hates witches in general though.” I said, “She doesn’t hate them here. That she’s told me anyway.” Logan said, “She doesn’t hate them here. She has no reason to.” The other me looked out the window of the car, “Mine has plenty of reason to.” We drove the rest of the way in silence. We got out of the car. I could hear Haley sobbing. Whether it was mine or his…. Mine seemed confused so I’d go with his.

        The other Eric stiffened when we heard Arion say, “Sister, it’s alright.” He growled, “Was that Arion?!” I shrugged, “It sounded like him.” He took off like a shot. I handed Alpha Young to a warrior and ran after myself. God this was weird. I ran inside with my brothers, Caleb, Logan, and Marshall a step behind me. We watched in shock as the other me ripped his Haley away from Arion growling at him. His Haley was crying, “Eric please! Don’t!” He growled, “DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH HER ARION! I’ll kill you!” My Haley screamed, “NO!” She popped herself in front of her brother. Arion himself was stunned. Aiden said, “You will do no such thing. My brother has done nothing to you.” The other me growled at him, “YOU KNOW NOTHING OF WHAT HE HAS DONE TO ME AIDEN!” His Haley popped in front of him, “Please…. Eric…. their reality is not ours. Arion helps me how he can now. Please Eric….” He looked into her eyes taking deep breaths. She was still crying. She whispered, “Please…. he’s my brother.” I was stunned at how much shorter this Haley was than mine. I didn’t want to think about why that was. Everyone in our reality was stunned waiting for an explanation about what the hell was going on with Arion and Eric.
