The Shock of It All Pt. 3

        I heard someone speaking in the tree line between the two, “Aren’t you handsome?” To my shock I heard Gunner snort, “Lady…. I’m gay.” I frowned. I walked closer towards the voices away from the gym. The woman said, “Ohh...I bet I could change your mind.” Gunner said, “I’m one of the mates of a Hackura Prince. Watch yourself. We are not on an off period. You do NOT want the consequences of trying to bed me on a non off period with a royal. It would be a shame since it would be for nothing. I’m still gay. Still not into women. You would die all the same.” She sighed, “What is with this territory?” Gunner said, “I couldn't tell you I’m not from here.” I came into view as she smiled at him, “I bet if you kiss me, you’d change your tune.” My jaw dropped and I stopped walking. Was she insane? Was she from my pack? Gunner hissed “Get away from me, you crazy b***h!” I heard a slap and glanced back up at them. I popped and threw her away from him. I hissed, “YOU ATTACKED MY BROTHER?! HOW DARE YOU!” I conjured my swords and Gunner his. Three wolves stepped out growling. I linked Liam, “There’s a crazy she wolf trying to seduce my brother’s mate. She struck him.” I turned to face Gunner and my jaw dropped, “YOU’RE BLEEDING?!” Gunner wiped his cheek, “She turned her ring so that it would scratch me.” I turned in time to see her rub his blood against her charmed necklace. 

        I glared at her, “You stupid b***h!” I conjured the necklace to my hands. She screamed. I snorted, “Claudzilla, I presume.” Liam linked me, “Luna, where the hell are you?” I looked around. Several were around us, but they didn’t appear to see us.” I rolled my eyes, “Dealing with earth fairies Claudzilla?” She hissed, “How did you even see us?” I shook my head, “Because I’m a fairy. You can’t hide my brother from me with a fairy enchantment. It works on everyone without fairy blood. It’s not meant to conceal the earth from an earth fairy. The earth would never do that.” She hissed, “He’s not your damn brother! Give me my necklace back!” I started to take her air. She clutched at her throat. I popped next to her, “Gunner IS my brother. He is MY FAMILY! Any mate of my brothers is family.” I let her go so she could breathe. I waited a beat then punched her in the face, “You will die for what you have done here today.” The other wolves with her jumped to attack me. Gunner cut two down and I killed the others. Eric linked me, “THE f**k IS GOING ON? LIAM CAN’T FIND YOU!” I linked back, “Claudzilla is here. She was trying to seduce and charm Gunner. If you come out here. We are in that secluded area outside the gym. My light in you can bring the enchantment down.” Eric snarled. His roar shook the trees. I smiled, “My mate is very upset with you Claudzilla. I’m afraid his anger will not compare to my brother Harper’s though. Probably not going to even touch it.” 

            Gunner frowned, “Haley…. why the f**k do I feel compelled to be near you?” I rolled my eyes, “f*****g fairies. Because I have her charm. She was trying to compel you to her. It’s stronger with your blood.” Claudzilla was crying, “It should make him want to have s*x with me!” I screamed in exasperation, “Did you NOT hear him say he doesn't like women? Magic can’t override that.” I wiped Gunner’s blood off the necklace. He eased back several inches from me. He frowned, “That was weird. I absolutely did not want to have s*x with you, but I didn’t want to be far away from you.” I nodded, “She’ll die for that Gunner, and for striking you.” I held out my hand to his cheek and healed him. Eric ran to me. He growled at Claudia. Marcus and Bjourn ran up to us. A portal opened and Harper sprinted through it. He grabbed Gunner. He sighed in relief, “What the HELL is going on? Marcus and Bjourn said you stepped outside for a second then disappeared. They couldn’t find you…” I smiled, “Please…. oh please... let me tell him?” Claudzilla yelled, “No don’t! She lies!” Eric grabbed her by the back of the neck, “YOU DARE Call my Luna a liar?!” I stuck my tongue out at her. Take that this realities Claudia. Uncharmed Eric’s don’t fall for your s**t.

            She whimpered in fear. Bjourn said, “Tell us what little sister?” Harper disregard Bjourn’s question and asked his own, “Why is there blood on your face Gunner?” He had gone deadly calm. That was a VERY bad sign for Claudzilla. I jumped up and down, “Please, please, please, Gunner?” Gunner was trying not to laugh. Harper said, “Little one…. talk. Now.” I smiled when Gunner nodded. I pointed dramatically at Claudzilla, “The villain we all now know as Claudzilla...somehow got Gunner over here. She’s working with a fairy. What fairy I will know shortly.” Claudzilla hissed, “Shows what you know. There’s more than one. I’ll never tell!” I laughed, “Oh, you will because people can’t lie to me. Even if you could, Bjourn over there can torture you within an inch of your life.” She shrank back, “I’m an Alpha’s daughter! He can’t do that!” Bjourn smiled sinisterly, “I think you’ll find I can do what I want to. Continue little one.” I smiled, “Why thank you…. anyway...I came upon her trying to seduce him.” Harper went rigid. I smirked, “Even after he told her he was your mate, and that he wasn’t interested in women. Or an off period. She hit him. She turned her ring to draw blood and place it on this.” I held up the necklace. Eric frowned, “That’s the same necklace she was wearing at the summit. When she kept touching me.” I smiled and kissed his cheek. Claudzilla started sobbing. I smiled, “And because you were protected by me…. she’s been plotting. She was using Gunner as a test run. I’d imagine. She got his blood to try and compel him to have s*x with her. She’s a dumb b***h who didn’t know she could only make him want to be near her because...he’s gay….it would’ve worked on a straight man though. She’s trying to take you from me.”

            Harper turned eyes blazing, “You tried to seduce my mate when we are not on an off period? You STRUCK MY MATE?!” I smiled, “Ohhhh Claudzilla you done f****d up now. To be fair...Gunner warned you…. exactly this would happen. Literally. I heard him tell you you’d die for this.” Harper grabbed Claudzilla from Eric and held her up by the throat. He hissed, “You will know extreme pain before you die. You thought you would get away with charming MY MATE? You b***h!” He threw her into a tree. Eric linked me, “Is he going to kill her here?” I linked back, “Oh...no.” He asked, “What fairy do you think she’s working with?” I shrugged and focused on the charm. The power surging through it could only have come from one fairy. I dropped it in shock. Bjourn said, “Little one?” Betrayal, anger, and disbelief were flooding all my connections. I couldn't stop it. I couldn't pull my feelings back from anyone. My mom ran over and put her arms around me. She was talking to someone, “I’ve got her Titus. You handle your mission. Your boys and I have this.” She hung up. I was in shock. I could feel myself slipping into shock. I didn’t even know why. Eric was shouting. I couldn’t hear him anymore though. There was a ringing in my ears. A nagging voice telling me to call Arion and Aiden. I really should. I knew that, but I couldn’t hear or speak. How? But...why? Why? Was the question swirling around in my mind on a loop. Why? I felt calmness flood over me. I saw Emmaline’s concerned face in my peripheral vision.

            A pop sounded. I could see Aiden and Arion. Arion was angry. I just didn’t know why. Aiden grabbed me. His face loomed in front of mine. He was talking, but I couldn’t hear him. It was such an odd feeling. I wished I had a wolf like Eric did. I could ask said wolf why I cared this much about this. I really didn’t know why this was rocking me so hard. It shouldn’t even be surprising. Arion threw someone away from me. I turned. It was Ethan. He was yelling at him. Eric knelt down in front of me. He seemed to be begging me for something. I linked him, “Why is everyone mad?” He sighed in relief, “Angel…. we need you to talk to us.” I said, “I feel strange Eric.” He sighed, “Aiden said you’re in shock. It’s not a natural state for a fairy.” I linked back, “I don’t understand.” tears filled my eyes. Eric asked, “What happened? Did the charm hurt you?” I snorted. It must have been out loud because several people whirled to me. Eric took me from my mom’s arms into his own. She looked really worried. Harper asked, “Sister? Did she hurt you?” I laughed a humorless laugh, “I guess that depends on your definition.” Bjourn was mad, “Yours. Your definition. Did she hurt you with that necklace?” Aiden and Arion looked on the ground. Both of their faces dropped in shock. Arion looked at me with pity.

            Eric growled, “WHAT? What is with that necklace and the fairies?” Bexley asked, “Who had it?” Jackson said, “Claudia Harden. She wanted Eric. She was trying to seduce a gay guy because she has THE WORST gay dar of all time apparently. She struck him and used his blood to try to seduce him. Her ultimate goal was to get Eric in her bed.” Aiden winced. Anger and fury replaced my shock so fast Eric growled murderously. My eyes were blazing. I hissed, “Where is she?” Aiden looked up at the sky. Arion winced. Bjourn asked, “Where is who?” I yelled, “Aiden! Where is she?” Arion answered, “We do not know. She fled.” I hissed and focused all my energy on her. I heard Aiden yell, “NO!” Before I popped. I hit a wall so hard it burned. I screamed. I felt stuck. I couldn't move, it was killing me. I focused on my light. I focused on Eric. The second I thought his name I was flung back to the earth. I was screaming. I could vaguely hear everyone losing their s**t. Eric’s touch calmed me down. He whispered, “Shhh…. it’s ok. Just…. You’re ok. Let your light heal you. Please Angel…. calm down and focus on your light. I’ve got you.” He was crying. I felt for my light. It was frightened and in shock like me. I slowly felt it healing me. My screams turned to whimpers. Eric rocked me back and forth. Tears streamed down my face. Eric was crying too. He looked into my eyes, “Are you ok?” I looked down. I’d healed myself from whatever that was.

            I nodded slowly and we stood up. I turned around. My jaw dropped, “Dad?” He grabbed me and pulled me to him. He sniffled, “I don’t know why you are surprised I’m here. I had to order Ubbe to stay home. The rest of your brothers are here though.” He hugged me tightly, “My little girl…. My Princess, are you ok?” I frowned, “I am now. I’m ok dad.” He set me down and all my brothers hugged me. Logan was still crying. I hugged him tight, “I’m ok.” He whispered, “That was definitely not ok.” I turned back, “Where’s Claudzilla?” Harper shrugged, “In our dungeons. Calista has her for now. She’s angry enough to handle it until I can come home and kill that f*****g b***h. She’ll be stoned in our streets. She will NEVER be in this realm again. Striking my f*****g mate and hurting my sister. That b***h is so beyond f*****g dead.” Gunner squeezed my hand. My dad asked, “What happened Princess?” I turned to Aiden, “What was that?” He grabbed me and pulled me to him hugging me tightly, “I’m so sorry. We didn’t warn you. I should’ve known you’d have tried to go to her.” Arion hugged me next. He was crying. I frowned, “Are you crying?” Arion said, “I’ll kill her myself for that.” I frowned, “Why can’t I get to her?” Aiden sighed, “Because she doesn’t want you to.” I frowned, “Can you get her?” Aiden’s jaw tightened, “No. She knew we were the promised siblings for quite some time. She’s been preparing.” Tears filled my eyes, “Did you try?” Aiden said, “No, a few guards did. One died.” My eyes went wide, “I can heal the others.” Eric growled, “Not tonight you can’t.” I asked, “Was that demon magic?” Aiden nodded, “Mixed with Fairy magic.” 

            My dad’s voice was dangerous when he asked, “I’m going to need you to explicitly state who you’re talking about.” Bjourn said, “I think we all know who they are talking about.” My mom said, “I want it stated explicitly. Then I will TELL you things I will do to that wretched b***h when I get my hands on her! She’s f*****g dead!” Arion said, “Get in line Queen Veronica.” My eyes went wide. My mom calmly said, “I don’t GET in anyone’s f*****g line. I cut to the front like the QUEEN I am. I’m not known as the queen of peace of harmony, boys. I care not for either of those things. I care about loyalty and family. The pain she has caused my daughter has been welling up inside me for years. The ONLY thing stopping me from killing her was my husband. The SECOND her name crosses your lips…. that ends. No one will stop me. For the pain she just caused my ENTIRE family…. In fact they will JOIN me in hunting her down.” Lexi gasped, “No…. she wouldn’t….” I frowned, “Evidently she would.” Titus said, “Princess…. I need a name. I need you to tell me who did this.” I took a deep breath. Eric took my hand. I looked into his eyes. Tears filled my eyes, “My mother. Alania did this. She’s trying to take Eric away from me…. I think she just tried to kill me.” Complete and utter pandemonium erupted all around me. Eric crushed me to his chest, “It will never happen. She won’t take me from you, and she certainly won’t kill you.” No she wouldn’t. Because now I knew who to watch out for. My own mother.
