LOVE AT FIRST SITE

CHAPTER 3

I thought everything was gonna go sour the minute I stepped foot into the house but to my dismay my mum ran to me and hugged me really tight. I felt safe in her hands and I couldn't wish to be anywhere else other than her arms.

Relief washed over me, all the scenarios I had planned on my head on KB car really weren't happening. Oh shoot KB I have to inform him to just go ahead everything is okay

"Oh my girl, you got me so worried last night glad you are home, are you okay ?" She asked while looking not anywhere other than my face hands and whole of my body .

"mom, relax I'm okay " I tried to reassure her with a slight smile on my face.

"Okay, if you say so, but I have to talk to you right now " She grabbed my hand so tight I could feel some pain she's trying to inflict on me "mom, you are hurting me, please let go"

"that's the whole point Kendall, you can't just decide to go for a sleepover God knows where and come home like nothing happened " what has happened to my sweet mum to be honest .

I glanced to where my brother is standing but she just raised his shoulders and walked away, before he could disappear I talked.

"Jamie aren't you gonna stop mum I'm a big girl now" He stopped and looked behind him.

"For Gods sake sis, what am I supposed to say, you know how mum gets" and with that he ran to his room .

"A big girl huh?? , you are barely eighteen but you've already started partying"

"mum, its been only this one time, and besides I'm already in college"

Before I could finish that statement a hot slap landed on my cheek."and you dare talk back at me young lady "I held the place she slapped me trying to get the pain to go away.

" ouch mum" Tears started rolling down my cheeks voluntarily while rubbing at the same spot she slapped me.

I couldn't stand there anymore, I ran to my room and locked my door.

"You don't have shame Kendall, are you seriously banging the door on my face"

I just kept quiet and started crying.

I didn't notice my phone ringing until I heard a knock on my door I took it off my purse to see the caller, it was KB, I received it hesitantly.

"Hey are you okay or you want me to come save you" Does he think he's my hero huh

"No KB I'll be fine don't worry about me just go home " there is silence on the other end for a while, just when i was about to hang up he talked.

"Are you sure you are okay, you sound like you are crying, hey are you crying " Oh KB just let it go I'll be fine I don't want to drag you into my mess .

"No, I'm fine I'll hang up now" I didn't wait for him to say a word I just hanged up.

The room is silent so does the whole house before I heard another knock on my door.

"Sis, open up, you know you are just getting mum more mad "

"Go away Jamie, why does she always get mad when I go out but doesn't when you do, I'm just fed up being in this house , I'm leaving to go back to school because it has become my safe place , so go away"

Jamie stopped trying so I stood up to go stand at my room window. I could still spot KB's car and he is standing at the door on his phone, I took my phone so fast and dialed his number

He received on the first ring .

"What are you still doing there KB , you should get going I'm fine" He took a deep breath before answering

" I can't stop worrying about you babe, you can't blame " His confession got me speechless for a while .

"uhm, but im fine "

"How did everything go, tell me " I heard a knock at the door door before I could answer him .

"I have to go, my mum is at the door so go home now"

"fine I will but promise to tell me everything" He never gives up

" okay I will, no worries"

"I know you are in there Kendall and you can hear me , before you go anywhere just know you are grounded and I'm going to take your phone .
