Chapter 6
The next day, on the way to my office, Jim called out to me from a street cafe across the street, “Hey super sleuth, come over and join me for a cup of java. I’ve been chatting with friends, if you know what I mean.”
My office routine could wait because there was always time for a cup of coffee. Jim was in a lighthearted mood and my coffee was ready for me when I sat down. Speaking in a low tone he said, “My sources told me that Dulles and Tricky d**k are pushing an aggressive role in Vietnam once the French are defeated. They also say we are taking some actions to move their demise along. The inmates are running the insane asylum and the deck chairs are being shifted around on the Titanic. Can you believe it?”
