It's been exactly 3 weeks since I slept with the hot billionaire. It's been 3 weeks since my mum slapped me presenting my no choice situation to me on a golden table.3 weeks since I've been shut indoors and denied movement. 3 weeks without my loyal cat, Pinky.
I laid there on my bed, shivering feverishly. This sickness kinda started about 4 days ago and since then, I've been hoping it'll just disappear on its own but no. It's getting worse with each hour.
My door creaked open and Nana Maureen walked in with a tray of food. As usual,I ran into the bathroom immediately the smell hit my nose, throwing up everything in my stomach into the sink.
Weakly,I found my way back into my room again to meet Nana Maureen who had a look of worry on her face. "Don't gimme that look Nana. I'll be fine"I muttered sitting on my bed.
"No you're not Aurora. Just take a look at you. You're loosing weight and you look terrible right now! You're running a high temperature and you've been throwing up endlessly even when nothing's in that flat tummy of yours"she complained.
"I said I'm fine Nana. I'm not hungry, just take the food away"I waved my hand to show my disinterest.
"Okay this is it. What did you do?"she folded her arms casting me a suspicious look. "What's what?"I asked weakly. This sickness was really taking a toll on me.
"That night you left home and didn't return that night. Where'd you go?"she asked and I rolled eyes not wanting to answer.
"It's nothing serious Nana. Just went to have a little fun"I muttered not entirely lying I guess.
"Well better braise yourself up cause from what I see,that fun of yours might make you a mother soon"she frowned. "I don't get you. You're trying to say I ' might ' be pregnant?'i raised a bros trying to convince myself it can't be true.
A one night stand can't possibly result to pregnancy. After all,lots of couples who get intimate regularly are still looking for kids so why is mine different? Nana's just worrying over nothing.
"This isn't a might be situation Aurora. I'm a thousand percent sure you're carrying a baby"she spoke with conviction. I shook my head negatively.
"It's not possible Nana. It happened just once. One time isn't enough to just get me pregnant"I muttered.
"Once is all it takes to fertilize an egg Aurora. Just take this and let's confirm"she spoke giving me a pregnancy test tube. "is this really necessary Nana? I'm sure I ain't pregnant"I whinned.
"Just shut up and go confirm"she rolled eyes pulling me into the bathroom and shutting the door.
"I'm sure she's wrong. There's nothing to be scared about"I convinced myself and followed the necessary procedures. The final results made my heart jump. I walked out wearing this neutral look.
"What does it say?"Nana asked worriedly taking the tube from me. "Rora, you're.... you're pregnant Rora "she spoke.
"This has got to be a dream Nana. There's no way I'm pregnant! She'll ruin me Nana. She said so herself!"I spoke fearfully and she hugged me.
"Calm down sweetheart. You'll be fine. Besides things aren't really as bad as they seem. She might just accept the pregnancy and cancel your engagement too"she tried consoling me.
"This isn't some movie where things miraculously happen Nana. We all know mother. She means of very word she utters. She never said what she can't do"I reminded. "Can you just leave,? I need some alone time"I spoke gently. I knew I just had to send her her out before I poured my aggression and anger on her.
"Fine darling. I'll leave you alone for now but don't forget. I'm always here and will support every decision you make okay?"she smiled at me.
"I will Nana"I forced a smile and she nodded before leaving. I grabbed my phone from the other side of the bed and quickly dialed Andy's number.
"Hello?"I spoke. "Finally! Do you know how worried I've been? Since that night, your phone's been off. Why? Do you have any idea how worried I've been?"he scolded.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that but I just felt so depressed. I needed some time to cool off"I muttered fiddling with the hem of my dress. "So,how did that night go?"he asked and slowly,I began narrating my ordeals.
From Steph's cheating to me sleeping with a stranger then finally to Pinky's death,I spilled them all out without a leaving a word out.
"Damn. So much has happened in a few weeks"he mumbled. "So tell me. Are you okay?"he sled genuinely concerned. "I would've said I am but nope. There's a huge problem on ground "I mumbled.
"And it is?he asked obviously confused. "I'm pregnant Andy"I dropped the bomb patiently waiting for his reaction.
