I turned sideways with a light wince due to the ray of sunshine reflecting on my face. Oh God,last night was one long one. Wait,last night! I did it!!
I opened my eyes to see the peaceful face of my angelic stranger. Now that i looked closely,he looked so damn familiar. Where the hell have I... wait a minute. Don't tell me he's the famous Julian Edelman. As in the youngest billionaire in New Jersey? Oh boy,I gotta get out of here.
I managed to get up ignoring the pain I was feeling underneath. I hurriedly got up threw on my dress not bothering about my already ruined underwears. I ain't in for any more troubles at all!
I took my phone and gave the room one last glance to see if I forgot anything. Phew,I guess that's it. Giving my handsome stranger one last glance,I hurried away from there limping gently.

I tiptoed my way towards the stairs and just when I was about taking my first step, mother's angry voice echoed round the house.
"And where the hell are you coming from young lady?!"pressing my lips together,I slowly turned to face her with a tight smile.
"I uh,had an emergency project to work on so I went to the library"I spoke biting on my tongue. It's something I do when I lie.
"Library? Are you gonna deny your visiting that useless boyfriend of yours last night?"Dora walked out from the kitchen wearing a taunting smile and I swear,I was almost tempted to rip her face off.
"Ex boyfriend you mean. He cheated on me with you"I muttered avoiding my mother's gaze.
"Seriously? Aurora you think I was playing around with you when I said you're getting married soon? You've been betrothed to this guy from birth! You're not permitted to do anything to piss him off! He's got eyes on you at all times!"mother reprimanded.
"Yes... mother"I hesitated.
"You don't seem happy about this"she folded her arms walking closer to me.
"Well since you know,why don't you give me the freedom I need? I need some breathers mum"I spoke hurtfully.
"You think I care? You should be happy that someone from a very influencial family is interested in you. Now listen to me carefully Aurora. This is my shot at finally leaving the low billionaire's class. Our name will be known far and wide. Now I can't have you ruining this chance for me can I? That's why I've decided to put you on the leash. I can't have you messing things up"she spoke professionally like I was some sort of good she wanted someone to invest in.
"And?"I asked lowly restricting the tears in the best way I could. "You're to be locked in your room. You're not allowed to come out no matter what. You're only entitled to online schooling for the meantime. Only when Edward and his family comes over to finalize the deal in a month, you'll be free to do as you wish under Edward's watchful eyes of course "mother spoke with a small nod. I can't believe her right now.
"Mother!! I'm your daughter for crying out loud,not some commodity!"I was forced to speak and a deafening slap instantly shut me up.
"Why can't you just be like your siblings huh? You're the only one of no use or benefit to me. Yet you have the guts to question me? Just who do you think you are? You're getting married whether you like it or not. Mess things up and I swear to whatever god is listening right now that I'll make your life a living nightmare"she glared at me hatefully.
I just stared at her in shock, making no attempt to wipe off my wet face. She really got me speechless this time.
"You're marrying Edward Aurora "mother repeated for the final time and I found myself nodding.
"Yes mother"I replied tearfully before running up the stairs not minding the hellish pains I felt. I banged my door close and let myself fall to the ground as I cried my heart out.
Where'd Pinky even go off to? I'd expected her to come downstairs when she heard my voice from downstairs like she usually does. I was still thinking and crying when my door creaked open and I knew it was Nana Maureen who walked in.
Nana Maureen is the only mother figure I've got in my life. Based on the fact that she's just a maid my mum helped once upon a time,she hadn't gotten much privileges to help me but still,she still gave a shoulder to cry on and helped me out with advice all the time. I could pick her over my own mother over and over again. She's one in a million.
"I'm so sorry darling"she spoke sadly and not getting what she meant,I nodded, still refusing to look at her.
"I returned from the supermarket early this morning when I heard Pinky whimpering in pain from your room. Turned out your sister had beaten her black blue. I couldn't get to attend to her on time because madam Tang called for me and by the time I returned to check on her,she was lifeless. Pinky's gone Aurora"Nana explained and my head snapped to face her.
It was true. Pinky laid on her hands,lifeless. She wasn't blinking at me cutely. She wasn't reaching out to hold me. Reality struck me hard. Dora just murdered my only companion. The one who never made me feel lonely.
I broke down all over again, crying more harder than before.
