I stood at the entrance of the plane as I took in a breath of the fresh air. It's been 7 years.
7 years since I ran away from my problems here over to China. My four kids stood beside me looking around as we got down from the plane.
"Wow. New Jersey kinda beats my expectations"Javier spoke with a small smile.
"I don't really care about what this place looks like. I'm still not okay with the fact that we had to leave China to come here. My friends aren't happy too. I just wanna go back"Ava spoke with a pout.
So it kinda turned out I was pregnant of 4 kids. Yeah,I had quadruplets. I opened my mouth to reply Ava but my phone rang.
"Wàipò(granny)"I smiled into the phone.
"Ah Aurora. Have you guys landed? How're my babies doing there? Hope the weather isn't harsh on them? Infact put them on the phone"grandma Xin spoke at once.
"Take some breathers granny. We just landed and trust me the kids love it here"i laughed.
"She's lying Wàipò. I hate it here. I wanna come back home"Ava whinned and Jamal smacked her head.
"Don't listen to her grandmother. We love it here"Jamal spoke with no expression on his face as usual and I gave him a smile of appreciation. He's the one who understands me most.
Unlike Ava and Aria,those girls are gonna be the end of me. Jamal and Javier give me no stress.
"Are you sure? Just one word and I'll be on the next flight to New Jersey to pick you"grandma spoke.
"No need for that granny. This city looks so fun!"Javier grinned looking around.
"Alright. If you say so. Rory?"she called making me take the phone from Ava who dragged it from me earlier.
"Yes Wàipò"i replied.
"Don't force yourself to do what you ain't comfortable. The moment things get hard, you're free to come back. There's always me"she spoke with concern and I nodded in understanding.
"Yes grandma. I'll remember that"I smiled slightly.
"Mummy I'm hungry!! Let's get something to eat please"Aria whinned.
"My baby's hungry. Go feed her please!"Grandma instructed and hung up immediately.
I shook my head with a smile as I pocketed my phone. "Alright kids,let's go get you something to eat while we wait for your uncle Andy"I spoke.
"Wait, uncle Andy's gonna pick us up?!"Javier asked happily and I nodded. "Yes. He insisted"I replied.
For the 7 years I've been in China, Andy's support, increased drastically. He made sure to drop by twice in a week just to make sure I'm truly okay during my pregnancy and when I was in my final semester,he took a leave from school just to stay with me. Andy was there to watch me push.
There had been some complications during childbirth but then I was able to push through with Andy by my side. Since the birth of the kids till now, Andrew served as a father figure to them.
The kids rely on him more than me and I just can't help but thank God over again for granting me someone as amazing as him.
"Oh mi God,I can't wait to see him!! It's been soooooo long!"Ava spoke dramatically. Yup, typical dramatic Ava. "Quit with the exaggeration. He visited twice last week"Javier smacked her head.
"What's with everyone and hitting my precious head?! And hey,that was last week. This is a new week"Ava pointed out with a frown. "And it's just Tuesday Ava. Just when are you gonna mature?"Javier rolled eyes leaving his sister to glare at him.
I bet you should have noticed. Ava and Javier are the talkative ones while Jamal and Aria,they love their peace and only speak when necessary.
"I'm getting hungry too mum. Let's just go"Aria pouted and Jamal nodded in agreement. "Alright kids. Let's go"I smiled as we walked towards the sushi and pizza restaurant inside the airport.
"Alright kids settle down. What do you wanna eat?"I asked as I helped them sit well. "I'll go for sushi "Javier and Ava spoke in unison wearing grins before facing each other with a frown. Argh. What's with their disagreement on everything!?
"We'll just go for a pepperoni pizza"Aria spoke quietly and Jamal nodded in agreement. "Aight. Waitress? Over here please"I called for the attention of a waitress nearby. I placed out orders, ordering just a cup of milky coffee for myself.
"Mum?"Aria tugged at my shirt. "Yes baby?"
"I'm feeling pressed. I wanna pee"she squeezed her face slightly. "Alright let's get you to the restroom"I stood up and helped her up too. "I'll go with"Jamal stood too.
"You both stay here. DON'T go anywhere till I return. Got it?"I warned and they rolled eyes. "Got it mum"they spoke in unison.
I nodded before walking away with Jamal and Aria.

I had a business investor from French who just flew in from France and it was only modest if I welcomed him right?
Argh. I sighed. "Quinton, hasn't Mr Louis landed already? We've got another meeting to be at in less than 30 minutes"I spoke with a frown as I checked my wrist watch.
"I'm sorry boss but I think his flight was a bit delayed. I'm trying to reach out to his PA"Quinton spoke.
We walked into the sushi and pizza restaurant where we were supposed to meet with Mr Louis. As we approached an empty table,a little girl bumped into me causing chocolate to smear all over my suit.
"What the hell!!!"I yelled angrily.
