What is your Desire

Levi POV

"Nanika, is it you?" I asked in disbelief when I saw a grown up version of Nanika standing right in front of me. 'This should not be possible, I saw her corpse with my own eyes. How can I still see her?' I asked myself.

"Levi?" She asked with a dumbstruck countenance. Her voice answered my question, only knowing one person with that voice, Nanika.

"But how? How are you here? You died 7 years ago. I saw you, your corpse with my own eyes?"

"Seven years?! You must be joking. I have only been dead for some few minutes." Nanika shouted out before pointing at herself. "Look, do you think I have grown?"

I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes before looking at her once more. Still, teenage version of Nanika. I then told her, "Yes, you look grown up."

"What?! How?!" She shouted and immediately began examining herself, checking if what I just told her was true. Her eyes finally landed on her two peaks on her chest and she asked, "Levi, what is this? Why am I seeing things protruding out of my chest? Wait a second, my chest does feel heavier than normal?"

I quickly averted my eyes since I did not want to see her clinging onto her two mountains as if she never had them. She then said, "Let me remove my clothes and see what is here." I quickly opened my eyes and ran to her, hoping to stop her before she undresses herself before me but it failed bitterly since I phased through her and fell face first onto the ground.

She turned around and saw me lying on the floor and asked, "Levi, What happened? Why are you lying on the floor as if someone punched you?" I felt my blood boil from her question but remembered that I just phased through her. I got off the ground holding my nose as I asked, "You have a Cynex?"

"Why would I ever synchronize with a demon's ...wait, what is a Cynex?" she asked me and I looked at her, thinking, 'Are you okay? You just literally explained what a Cynex is and now you are asking me what it is."

I looked at her carefully and realized she was actually saying the truth. She does not actually know what a Cynex is. I sighed and took a look at Nanika and realized she was still clutching her clothes, planning on removing them. I then convinced her to leave her clothes and she finally left after around an hour (5 minutes) of explanation.

She began to walk towards an unknown place and I asked, "Where are you going?"

"Going to your home to read your stuff."

"Read my stuff. Do you think you can do whatever you want to do while I just watch you do it? Just try it and I will punch you." I warned her.

She began giggling at my threats and said, "Even if you could touch me, you could never even beat me when we were young. Do you think the world would flip over just so you could beat me?" Before here silhouette slowly disappeared in the darkness.

I looked her as she left, having lost my face and took a look at my pocket while thinking, "I am no longer going to be the weak person you know." I then began walking to Ace's house, intending on taking the Cynex at his house.

I reached Ace's house and entered , completely oblivious to the concept of knocking. I saw Ace coming out of his room with a bath robe, his brown hair looking damp as water slowly dripped out of it onto the ground.

He noticed me and jumped up in fright while yelling at the top of his voice. I plugged my ears and Ace finally decided to stop screaming and take in deep breaths. "Why did you enter without knocking? What if I was here with my girl? What would you have done then?"

I smiled and patted his shoulder before whispering into his ear, "Bro, let me bring you back into reality. We are both single. Neither you nor I have girlfriends." Ace fell on his knees, clutching his chest as if an arrow had struck him but I spared him no glance and went straight to his room.

"Ace, I am going to take the Cynex in your room if you don't mind." I told Ace as I entered his room.

"Wait, wha..." I shut the door behind me and removed the pill from my pocket. I then took one last glimpse of it before swallowing it.

I looked around, expecting something to happen, but nothing happened. 'Nothing ...is happening. Wait, was it fake?' I thought, fearing for the worst, but suddenly arms rose up from the ground and held my leg, pulling me into the ground which had become like quicksand. I tried breaking free of their grip but their strength was too great and I was submerged by the ground.

I entered a huge body of water, seemingly having no end to the exposure of fresh air and I was pulled deeper and deeper into it. My breath began reducing, my mind was hazy and I became weak as we went down. Finally, I blacked out.

I woke up in an empty room with silver coated walls, my clothes soaked in piss as the smell assaulted my olfactory senses. Then, a huge amount of pain assaulted my stomach, causing me to grip my stomach and fall to my knees. It felt like I was being punched every second by a bodybuilder. Unable to handle the pain anymore, I vomited out what seemed to be everything in my body. I looked at the vomit and saw tiny maggots swimming inside it.

The pain came again, stronger than before, and I fell to the ground gripping my stomach in pain. The pain this time felt like a million elephants jumping onto my stomach at different intervals. It continued for what felt like years till I fell unconscious once more.

I woke again, dry with no pain assaulting my stomach. I viewed my scenery and realized I was not on earth. A sky and a moon as red as blood, the earth filled with traces of blood at every corner, the smell of death penetrating my nose and blood curdling screams echoing in the surroundings.

A blood red man...no, a demon, bare chested with short pants and scythes with blood dripping down from it in both hand walked towards me whilst whistling. I took a closer look at his face when a huge pit was created right below me, causing me to fall into it and cry out for my life.

I fell on my butt and saw the demon standing right in front of me, looking at me with a grin on his face before he asked, "What is your desire?"
