The next day was a Saturday so unfortunately everyone was going to be home for the weekend the only difference is today my stepbrother’s birthday he turns eighteen. My stepmom has been planning his eighteenth for years inviting all the alphas and their daughters to see if he can mate with someone that has alpha blood. Today is the party it gives me a good window to make my escape unnoticed. I have a best friend her name is Vanessa we were always together as kids she is a daughter of an Alpha. Her dad and my dad were best friends I am planning to go to her pack as soon as I get out of here. I have not seen or talked to her since my dad died because my stepmom forbids outside contact unless necessary. Today is one of those days I was up by four in the morning cleaning and getting ready for the party. I always clean and cook but as soon as the party starts, I am sent to the attic. The preparations to the party are almost finished just got to finish making the food. The good thing about these parties is that they do not put their hands on me they like to make it seem like we are all great and happy.

           I need to escape before the party starts while everyone is in their rooms getting ready. I was able to send a letter to Vanessa letting her know I was going to her pack, so she is waiting for me. In the letter I explained everything that has been going on including the r***s and the beatings.Hopefully she showed her dad I cannot wait to get out as I am finishing, I start putting the food for the guests and my pack in the lunch table. I start heading to the attic I checked to make sure I was on the clear and I was I grabbed my bag of clothes and the other bag of food, and I run towards the back door as soon as get to the back door I run to the forest. I have a wolf, but I cannot transform into a werewolf I do not know why I plan to get answers in my new pack. I am a good climber so if they do come looking for me, I will just climb the tree I stole some potion from the warriors of the pack that will hide my scent.

           I run north towards the red moon pack it is a long way to go especially by foot, but I am determined to make it. Hopefully, Vanessa sends someone or some warriors to help escort me halfway. As I turn, I run I must get past a river and then after I am far enough to stop running. My stepbrother and my stepmom are not going to risk sending people to look for me, especially on his birthday. So, as I am crossing the river, I hear a loud howl I know it is my stepbrother they know I am gone but I at least made it to the river before they found out I ran away. I go up the hill that is by the river and look at the packhouse I can only see the top of it, but I say goodbye to the hellhole I have called home for the past six years. I continue running away from blue moon pack I will come back and when I do, I will be coming to challenge my stepbrother for the alpha position. When I do come back it will be a challenge to the death and I will be the victor.

           I have been running for four hours I am tired, so I slow down and eat something from my bag. But as nearing the next water source I start hearing voices male voices. I start getting scared there is no way that they caught up to me so fast I hide behind a big tree but then I see the flag of the red moon flag. I feel relieved oh my god Vanessa sent someone to rescue me. But before I leave the safety of my tree, I see the most handsome guy I have ever seen his hair is a bluish black in the sun it looks bluer. I start walking towards the pack but then the guy with the blue hair turns to me all the sudden and runs towards me and in a possessive tone says “mate.” He looks at me and says “what’s your name mate” I was speechless Moon Goddess there is no way this handsome beast is my mate god help me.

           He kept staring at me waiting for my answer I say, “My name is Mari from the blue moon pack” He looks at me confused then he asked the question I was not expecting. “Are you the girl that my sister sent me over here to rescue?” I look at him and say, “Your sister?” “Yes, my little sister Vanessa sent me to recue some she just said I will know when I saw her, my sister is so annoying didn’t even tell me the girls name.” I was thing why would Vanessa not tell him my name, but I answered, “yes I am the person you are here to rescue” and I keep telling him we need to leave cause my pack will not take it lightly I left but they will wait until the next day to look for me. He just looks at me and before he turned to go to his warriors I ask “what’s your name? I gave you my name its only fair I get yours as well.” He turned toward me and said, “My name is Michael Forest Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack.” I was shocked before I could say anything he walked away. I was the mate of an alpha and to make things crazier he is the brother of my best I did not even know Vanessa had a brother. Vanessa had a lot of explaining to do when we get to the pack.
