My boyfriend parked his car in the driveway of mine and my mom's home. It was dark but the headlights of the car lit the sidewalk to the door. Me, my boyfriend, and his friend walked through the front door of my dark, empty house. Only the moonlight shines through the bay windows in the living room. I shut the front door gently and locked both locks. I nervously grabbed ahold of both boy's hands and led them up the stairs to my room. It hit me like a brick, I suddenly realized what I just boldly agreed to, my face turned redder with every step we took up the stairs.
"Are you sure your mom isn't coming home anytime soon???" my tall, blonde boyfriend inquired anxiously.
"No she said she'd be at work until midnight. And she usually means it. Besides it's only 8 o'clock, we have plenty of time," I replied.
We made our way into my bedroom and shut the door. I flicked on the light and went to the window to draw the curtains shut.
"I can't believe your girlfriend agreed to this dude," the friend whispered as he nudged my boyfriend in the side.
They looked at each other, then at me and when our eyes met I saw nothing but desire. Shyly, I looked away.
"Are you ready, Marcy?" my boyfriend spoke eagerly.
We all stripped out of clothing and started our evening alone. They took turns kissing and touching me. The attention was kind of nice until they started hurrying it along. My boyfriend gently pushed my back onto my queen size bed, he knelt between my legs ready to make his entrance.
"Ouch, that hurts," I said as I pressed my hands against his chest, trying to push him away.
"It only hurts because you aren't relaxing... and I thought you said you've done this before?," he said looking down at me beneath him.
"Of course I have..." I lied to them, trying to sound cool. "I'm just a little embarrassed that's all," my voice was shaky. His friend couldn't keep his hands off my bare breasts. I started to feel overwhelmed with second thoughts about the situation I got myself into. My body was covered in chills and I could feel my heart racing. My chest heaved with every breath I took. Tears threatened to fall from my eyes.
-Do I REALLY want to lose my virginity to these two-
"Just relax baby. It'll only hurt for a minute," He said. Although his words didn't bring me any comfort I let him part my thighs. He grabbed his hard member and pushed at my opening while his friend held my arms down against the soft bed...
**BEEP BEEP BEEP**
My eyes flew open at the abrupt sound of my alarm. I lay under my soft, fleece blanket and stared at the popcorn ceiling of my bedroom. I reached for my phone to silence the alarm I set last night.
"Ahh... stupid dream," I said aloud to myself.
I threw the blanket off and sat on the edge of my bed. I didn't want to get out of bed but I stood up and made my way to the bathroom to wash my face. It was early and you could see the sun barely peeking above the horizon. I remembered the reason I set an alarm this early was because I'm going on a camping trip this weekend. Trying to forget my sometimes recurring dream, I sluggishly got dressed and stayed in my room packing for my weekend trip to the mountains with my two best friends.
Lily and Aida planned it all out for us. They said they'd take me hiking on a few of the trails each day and maybe go for a swim in the streams. I packed my bags with a few essentials like sunscreen, clothes, socks, flashlights, water bottles, and some snacks for the road. Scurrying around my room I gathered my things. Then I heard my phone buzz and picked it up to see a message from my friend Aida, "We're here!" it said. I peeked out of my second story window and saw Aida's blue SUV sitting in the driveway. Aida and Lily waved up at me excitedly. This was the first time in months that I've been able to hang out with my besties and my first time ever going camping.
I live with my single mom, Gabby Stone, who's job keeps her occupied most days & nights. Mom is a busy woman, being the executive assistant for a well known business tycoon and all. She prioritized work and hardly planned extracurricular activities with me while I was growing up. Mom handled nearly every aspect of this man's business life from meetings to flights. A small part of me understood that even a vacation might not end up as a relaxing experience for my mother. My memory of mom's boss is vague but I recall that he seemed like a nice man. When I was younger, he gave me sweet treats and toys when he'd let me play in his office during the days mom couldn't find a baby sitter. After all the years mom spent catering to his every whim, I came to resent his needy ass. I gingerly made my way down the stairs, luggage in tow.
"See you Monday, honey" Mom said as she stood with a yawn to hug me on my way out the door.
"I love you, Mama. Take it easy, don't stress so much about work this weekend. I hope it's quiet for you," I hugged mom tight and gave her a peck on the cheek. Knowing she won't take it easy. She's such a busy body.
"I'll try to as long as Mr. Smith doesn't have any surprise meetings," she laughed, "Be careful out there, love."
I rolled my eyes, "I'll be okay mom."
Walking down the driveway to Aida's SUV I turned and waved bye to her. Even though my mom was practically married to her job, I loved her and knew she cared about me. Even though I'm twenty four years old and I feel like I should get over it already, I just can't shake these deep rooted feelings of loneliness. Maybe that's why I had questionable taste in boys and other friends.
"Be careful you guys! Stay safe," my mother called out to us in the driveway.
"You have nothing to worry about!! I've been there many times with my family" Aida replied giving a thumbs up.
She waved goodbye to us and finally closed the door.
"MARCY! ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS WE ARE?!" Lily squealed as I walked to the car. Lily and Aida took turns hugging me.
"Of course! You know my mom's too busy with work to ever take a vacation with me," I said as Aida opened the car door. I tossed my duffle bag and backpack in the seat and crawled in next to it.
"Alright let's get goin'! I wanna get there before traffic gets crazy," Aida said and closed the door behind me. Aida and Lily hopped in and they turned on some music to start their road trip. It would be a couple hour drive to the mountains and as much as I hated riding for long periods of time, I was thrilled to be doing anything other than working. Aida pulled out of my driveway and soon we were on the highway.
"So how have you been?" Lily turned and grabbed my hand and squeezed it. She was so affectionate.
"Oh you know... Work... School work..." I didn't really have much to say.
"Any new boy friends??" Aida inquired.
"Well... Not really... I was talking to this one guy on tinder and we met up to go see a movie but he just wanted to smash," I admitted.
"SO?? DID YOU??" Lily was always so supportive of anything I did.
"Umm. NO. He was cute and nice but not really my type. He was like my height," I replied.
I'm 5 foot 7 inches, I'm tall for a girl. I want someone like 6 foot or taller. And he was too skinny, also.
"I just think a big boy would handle all this better than a small one," I laughed at myself.
"Ohmygosh! You're so critical of yourself Marcy," Lily said bluntly.
"No I am not critical of myself!!" I got defensive.
"You are too," Aida chimed in & glanced at me in the rear-view mirror.
"Wow you two, gang up on me, why don't you," I pouted & crossed my arms dramatically.
"We love you! We just think you don't see yourself as the beautiful treasure you are. Right Aida?" They nodded in unison.
"Okay okay enough about me, turn on some tunes," I'm not a morning person, I already had enough talking for one morning.
"K-pop please!" Aida smiled huge at me in the rear view mirror and looked at Lily knowing she didn't particularly understand why we listened to it. Lily rolled her eyes at us. She didn't argue and grabbed Aida's phone and plugged in the AUX cord. She handed the phone over to me, knowing I would be a better DJ in this scenario. I flipped through Aida's playlist and queued up a few songs.
"Play UGH!" Aida requested. I scrolled down to find it and heard Aida's door speakers bumping. We jammed out in silence, occasionally singing the English verses and sometimes the very few Korean words we knew.
