Sharon sat on her living room couch, her fingers tapping against the armrest as she processed her conversation with Russell earlier that night. Her mind was a labyrinth of schemes and counter-schemes. If she played her cards right, she could turn this entire mess into an opportunity for revenge and power. She picked up her phone and stared at the two names on the screen: Bruce Hill and Russell Harper. One was ambitious and naive, the other calculating and dangerous. Both had their uses. Her lips curled into a sly smile. "Time to weave the web," she murmured to herself. Sharon walked into the office with her usual air of confidence, her heels clicking sharply against the tiled floors. She could feel the eyes of her coworkers on her, as always.
