The next morning, Sharon arrived at Hill Enterprises with a renewed sense of focus. Her heels clicked rhythmically against the marble floors as she made her way to her desk. She had barely settled into her chair when her phone buzzed with a message from Bruce. Bruce: Can you come to my office? I need to discuss something important. Sharon glanced at her screen and then at the clock. It wasn’t even 9 a.m., and Bruce was already summoning her. Whatever it was, it couldn’t wait. She quickly straightened her blouse and grabbed her tablet, heading up to the top floor. Bruce’s office was a corner room with expansive windows that bathed the space in natural light. He was standing by the window, his hands in his pockets, when she entered. "Good morning, Sharon," he said, turning to face her.
