A phone call in the middle of the night shattered the fragile peace in the mansion, and Nora knew her worst fear had come true.
The ringing woke her instantly. Clara's voice came through panicked and fast. "Nora, someone broke into the house. They are looking for the kids. I got Lily and Max out the back but they are chasing us."
Nora jumped out of bed. "Clara, run. Take them somewhere safe. I am coming."
She ran out of her room and straight into Blake and Drew who were already awake from the noise.
Blake grabbed her arm. "What is going on? Talk fast."
