And it was not even just the soft forgiving glows of the lanterns on the wall but the full unapologetic blaze of the library's chandeliers along with every other bulb in between. Suddenly the room was bright enough to strip the moment bare and remind me of exactly where I was and what I had been about to do. But to Ethan’s credit, the lights barely made a lick of difference. It was almost as if the light exposing every shaky breath and every reckless thought that had nearly taken shape between us, only served to make him even more enamored. Slowly, a smirk pulling on my lip, I placed both my hands flat on his chest.
