Sutton’s Point of View

“Oh my Goddess!!!! I forgot to tell you that Killian and I ran into Ashley on our way into the pack house.”

“Oh, and how did that encounter go?” Remi asks me with a raised eyebrow and an almost evil smirk on his face. He loves f*****g with her head almost as much as I do.

“Well first off she tried to say that she was Killian’s mate. That did not go over to well with either of us. I called her out for being the pack slut right in front of him. I could’ve sworn I saw him holding back from laughing out loud. Then she tried to deny the fact that she has slept with everyone willing. He told her that she was definitely not his mate. And even after that she tried to get him to go to her place so she could ‘cook’ him dinner. The desperation in her voice was hysterical.”

“I wish I was there. I love when you tell her off. I wonder why she is thinking that Killian is her mate?”

“Probably because she already found her mate and he rejected her because she doesn’t know how to keep her legs closed. She’s always been a power hungry she-wolf. How many times has she gone around running her mouth about how she would make a better Alpha or Luna than me? If my memory serves me right, my dad made her spend a weekend in the cells because she was just so disrespectful to not only me but him. She at one point held a warrior title and my parents stripped her of that and made her an omega and said she had to earn her title back. She’s still hasn’t done anything to ear it back yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up being a rogue here soon. I want to be there when she decides to disrespect one the members of the Royal family.”

“Me too, me too.” Remi says while laughing so hard he’s having to wipe away tears. “But if she’s trying to become Queen, you’d think she would be on her best behavior.”

“So, do you think I should talk to Killian about what I felt and how my wolf has been acting or should I keep it to myself?” I ask him as we head for the gaming and theater room.

“That’s hard to say. You don’t want it to come off as some school girl crush vying for power butt on the other hand you have people like Ashley who will do anything to get what they want. Actually, what you could do is next time he touches you ask him if he ‘felt that’ and if he plays dumb explain what you felt. He may already think that you are his mate and is just being cautious because you are not yet 18.”

“And this is why I love talking to you. You always know what to do. Thanks Remi.” I say while giving him a quick hug.

Remi always has a way of calming me down. Whenever I don’t know what to do, he always knows just how to help. He is going to be an amazing beta for me. Hadley seems like she is going to be an amazing female beta. I’m just so happy that Remi has finally found his mate.

“Remi, what do I do about my mom and everything she has planned for my birthday party? You know I don’t want anything fancy or huge, I just want our pack and a backyard bbq.” I tell him.

“Honestly Sutton, this time you’re not going to win. As much as I hate to admit it, but your mother is right. It’s your 18th birthday and you are possibly the only first girl born to an Alpha. You are a very rare wolf and you know as well as I do that an Alpha’s first born is normally a male.” He tells me.

“I know that I am a rare wolf. I also know that it is extremely rare for an Alpha and a Luna to have a daughter. But it doesn’t change that I would prefer something small and more intermate that what she has planned.” I say hanging my head.

“Girl, you’re gonna be just fine.” He says hugging me.

“I guess.” I say not very confident. “Do you think I should say something to Killian about us possibly being mates?”

“That’s your choice, but just be careful. You don’t necessarily want to just blurt it out just in case you may not be his mate.”

“If I wasn’t his mate than why would I be feeling sparks every time we touch each other? If we aren’t mates than why do I feel some kinda pull towards him? I’ve never felt more at peace than when I’m with him. It’s like I’m complete when I’m with him.” I tell him.

“Sorry, I didn’t know you guys were still talking.” I hear Hadley say from behind me. “But, if I may.” She says softly. “I know Killian really well. He’s pretty easy to talk to. And if you are feeling all of these things, you very well may just be his mate. You both are very powerful wolves so it doesn’t surprise me that you guys would be mates. I would be more than happy to call you my Queen Luna. Best thing I can tell you is to talk to him.” She tells me while wrapping her arms around Remi.

“You think so?” I ask her.

“I do. I know he’ll listen and he’ll also be open to hear whatever you have to say. Just be honest with him. You might be surprised when you talk to him. You just need to find the courage.” She tells me. Remi and I look at each other in complete shock. I never would of thought that he would Killian would have such a soft side to him.
