Chapter 18

Killian’s Point of View

              I walk into the pack house with Sutton and I can tell that Ashley is furious and I don’t really care. I don’t know who she thinks she is but I would never reject my mate just for a slut. i can tell by the way she is dress and her scent that she is the pack slut. That had to be one of the most uncolorable situations I’ve ever been in.

              Walking into Alpha Axel’s office, I see my parents and Sutton’s parents sitting around waiting on me. “Sorry it took so long to get up here once we got back. Sutton and I ran into some she-wolf named Ashley.”

              “I saw that. She is not the nicest girl around nor does she know how to keep her legs closed.” Alpha Axel tells us. “That’s why I thought I would try and help you out. Just please tell me she is not your mate. That girl is only after power. I’ve heard her run her mouth about how she would make a better future Alpha or Luna than Sutton.”

              “Yeah, I sorta got that impression. She tried to say that I was her fated mate. Which I know is not true because my wolf Kian was completely disgusted by her. I kinda got the feeling that she lives in her own little fantasy world. I could tell that her wolf was not happy with the way she has been acting.” I tell everyone in the room.

              “Speaking of fated mates, you said that you have found your mate but she doesn’t know it yet.” Alpha Alex says.

              “Wait what?” My mother interjects. Oh yeah, I forgot I didn’t tell my parents yet. “When? Who is your mate? Why didn’t you tell us?” So many questions at once.

              “Yes mom. I do believe I have found her. I won’t know for sure until she turns 18.”

              “Well, don’t keep us waiting. Who is she?” My father asks

              “I believe that Sutton is my mate.” I inform everyone.

              Once I tell everyone who I think my mate is they are just sitting there dumbfounded. I know I felt some kind of sparks and I hope that I am right about her being my mate. Kian goes nuts every time we are around her. Not to mention the fact that we seem to be very overprotective of her.

              “How can you be so sure? She’s not even 18 yet, Killian” My mother asks.

              “I can’t be completely sure until she is 18. I did notice a few faint sparks between us and also Kian is overprotective of her. Oh, and when we first arrived, I saw Remi’s arm around her and I wanted to rip him to shreds before we knew anything about anyone one. He did not like the fact that another male was touching her.”

              “Well, from everything I went through with Axel here that does sure sound like the mate bond to me.” Luna Bella says with a huge smile plastered on her face.

              “No wonder why you were so quick to agree to be part of her ‘protection detail’.” My father says using air quotes.

              “Yeah, I know. So, now what do we do. I want to tell her in the worst possible way but I don’t want to scare her off.” I say almost defeated.

              “I honestly don’t know.” Bella says. “On one hand I feel as if Sutton would be mad at us if we don’t tell her but on the other hand finding out that someone is your mate through the bond and not being told is a wonderful feeling. Let me talk to Sutton. Maybe she might be willing to open up to me. If you felt faint sparks from the bond maybe she did as well. But I do know that she will almost always tell Remi everything.”

              I growl a little at that thought. Startling everyone in the room. “Sorry everyone, but the thought of her talking to another male made Kian a little jealous. Even though we both know that he is mated to my best friend.”

              “This is going to be an interesting few week. You do realize that he is mated to one of your best friends, right?” I hear my father say with a chuckle.

              “Dad, this isn’t funny. I honestly don’t know what to do.” I say a bit frustrated.

              “Killian, just take a breath and let’s see if Luna Bella can find anything out. So, for now just act like everything is normal. But I don’t think anyone should tell her. Yes, I do believe she’ll be mad if we keep this from her, but at the same time I do agree with Bella that finding out who your mate is a once in a life time opportunity that I do not want to deny my daughter of.” Alpha Axel says

              “Agreed.” Everyone else says.

              “So, what do we do about this she-wolf Ashley?” I ask out of curiosity.

              “Honestly, let Sutton and Remi handle her. They seem to get a kick out of putting her in her place. But if she gets to out of hand let me know and I’ll use an Alpha command on her.” Axel says with a sly smile on his face.

              “I kinda got that impression. She seems like she can be manipulative and gets off from it.”

              “I believe she does. Let’s just keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid that would put you or Sutton in harm’s way. The last thing we need is another problem right before her birthday especially with the rogue attacks. I will have a meeting with the patrol and our head warrior to let them to boost security and the patrols. I’m done messing around with Sutton’s safety.” Alpha Axel says with a low rumbling growl.

              “I will call in some reinforcements for you. I will have some of our guards and warriors here by tomorrow evening. How did the rogue manage to get onto the territory without being noticed or sensed?” My father adds.

              “Honestly dad, I don’t know. Maybe he has a witch on his side using some of the dark magic. I’m going to find Hunter. I need to bring him up to date on everything.”

              “Go find him, I’ll call our guards and get them here and Alpha Axel and I are going to come up with a plan of action on what all we need to do now.” My father tells me.
