Present….
The flight’s announcement brought me back from the bitter memories. I stood up with a sigh and made my way to the gate. The air hostess checked my ticket and granted me a pass. I walked to the flight and sat on my designated seat. What more aggravated me that I was provided with a ticket of first class. I was going to make sure that I paid the ticket money back. I didn’t need any favors.
I braced myself. I was going back to the place were all of my sufferings started. It was like I was roleplaying a character in a video game and now I was to face the final boss.
My next seventeen hours were spent in excessive anxiety, overthinking and anticipation. I didn’t catch a wink of sleep.
