Avalana’s POV
The breakfast was over before we knew it and it was time for us to leave. Our bags had been loaded into the SUVs while we were having breakfast. I went up to the room and collected my phone and my purse and checked for the wardrobes and room. After I was sure I didn’t leave anything behind, I left the room and locked it. Vincenzo and the kids were waiting in the foyer along with Felix and Mia as they spoke with their family.
Mariette was pulling away from Vincenzo when I came down the stairs. The woman had tears in her eyes and her face was read as she was sniffling quietly. Vincenza rubbed the tears of his mother and tried to console her as best as he could.
