Chapter 3

My bruised hand was soaked in the water, trying to feel how hot the water was but it didn't felt anything expect for complete numbness. So did I, my body was numb, I couldn't feel the pain from the outside but inside the fire was ready to burn. Certain more minutes had fluttered away and I didn't even notice the moment, the furious boiling water folded itself with my body. My sore muscles relaxed under the heat and so did my mind when I decided to sink inside for a minute. My breathing through nose had stopped for a moment of time, the water burned the cuts and bruises that scattered itself across my body. It was definitely painful to bath in steamy hot water but yet it was so satisfying to burn myself and increase my rage along with the pain. Just when black spots appeared in my dull vision and my heart begged for air, I stumbled out of the water immediately. The next action was to grab the razors and slice my skin open, but just when my fingers reached out for the metal piece. A loud music played out of the washroom that forced me to jump out of the tub and run outside to see who was calling me. I hurriedly circled the towel around my chest and slipped out of the washroom like a soap would when its on a wet floor. Drying my fingers with the towel, I held the phone in my hands before answering the unknown call. "Hello," I groaned at his voice. "What the hell? I told you to never ever call me." I yelled through the phone, no one has my number expect for my parents and Chase, since before becoming enemies we were close friends. He was the one who took the wrong path and I was so dumb to follow him behind. "Babe, why are you so angry?" He questioned, o was disgusted by his words when he called me 'babe' but I brushed it off. Now isn't the time to start a fight. "What do you want, Chase?" I sighed, placing a hand on my hip and looking around my black room. “I need you for an important business event my father is forcing me to go.” he said, disappointment lacing in his husky tone. He despised when he worked with his father, he didn't want a status and I knew what exactly he wanted. s*x and drugs. “Why me? I am sure you can hire some woman.” I replied, I didn't wanted to waste my time talking to him but neither I wanted him to expose my secret to my parents so I needed to be kind even when I just wanted to throw my phone away and continue with harming my self. “No, everyone is whöre and I need someone nice and clean and pretty. That's you,” he argued, I wanted to laugh on the words he just mentioned about me but in held it back. Emotions are supposed to be hidden, even when they are positive. “Sorry, I can't. I have work to do." I said, fiddling with the towel that now hung loose around my body. I waited patiently to end this call but it felt like the time was stretching so much that this call wouldn't ever come to an end. “Ana please, I'll do anything you say. You don't even need to pay anything to me after this.” he continued to confess me but I didn't need anything from him and even if I did it would just be turning him back to normal. Where he would be happy with me and we would play games and study instead of taking drugs and smoking. “No, sorry.” “Ana please, did I ever ask you anything.” he asked. “No,” “Then why can't you just do this this one favour for me. Its just going to be for a night, only this night that's all.” he words were turning more and more softer. He wanted this, I could feel it. He wasn't the person I knew anymore, ever since his break up with Lauren, everything changed. Can't believe a matter of few years can change everything even a person's heart. “Fine, fine but after the party you are taking me to a club because I want to get wasted.” I remarked, I needed to do something instead of staying alone for the rest of the night. "Yesss, sure. Be ready in two hours, I'll be there.” he said, the feeling of being happy could be heard in his voice. "Okay, bye.” I trailed off, cutting the call and sighing in relief. I dumped my phone across the bed and stormed back to the washroom. Holding the silver razor up, I spoke. “Looks like you have to wait a day more.” I whispered, slipping it back in my box and then hiding it under the bed before walking to my closet. I carefully studied the clothes that hung inside, not even one of them was a dress. My closest was junked with long sleeves shirt and tight pants that reached till my ankle, along with jackets and other footwear. I closed the door and pulled on a shirt that reached my knees, I headed to my moms room where I wouldn't only find tons of clothes but a lots of jewellery too. She has parties on weekly basis and every time you can see her with a brand new dress. There was this dress she once wore that was perfect for today but it was long time ago and I wasn't sure whether she has it anymore. Either way, I was going to try to find that dress and wear it tonight.
