While hugging Adrian, from the corner of my eyes, I saw my mother looking at me. There was a slight embarrassment in her eyes and shame as well. I loosened myself from Adrian.
“I have to go; I will see you later,” I said to him.
“Get some rest, okay?” he asked as he touched my face. I nodded my head. I hadn’t slept in almost a day. I couldn’t sleep last night because of the ache I had in between my legs.
“You too,”
Adrian pressed his lips against my forehead and then sat back inside his car. Thankfully, my mother wasn’t able to see him. She did meet Adrian, but as my doctor, not as someone else. I wasn’t sure whether I was ready to let people know that I was dating my therapist.
