“What do you mean?” I asked, picking up my glass from the counter.
Diane leaned against one of the couches. “Well, we know Kane has finally ditched his bitch.”
“And?”
Robertson stepped closer to me. “It means he's weak and disturbed right now, which means the moment he recovers he's coming for us all.”
I gulped down the drink, the burn in my throat doing little to wash down the bitterness rising inside me.
