Author’s Notes
For readers of my Loving Husband Trilogy, That You Are Here might seem like a huge leap in a different narrative direction, but it isn’t really. True, this is a present-day story when I’m most known for writing historical fiction. But everything I write is about people who are or see themselves as outsiders or different from the general society for one reason or another. For readers who see That You Are Here as a love story between two human beings (which it is), I think you’ll find it right on target with themes I’ve dealt with in previous books.
Me being me, I had to have some mention of history even in this present-day tale. For anyone interested in learning more about the Stonewall Riots, I recommend the following books: Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolu
