I am even more convinced now that Gloria has Elven blood. She could be a regular witch, but that wouldn't explain her ability to read ancient Elven text. Elves do not freely mingle or divulge their secrets to witches, light or dark. They look down on them. To Elves, regular witchcraft is a diluted, impure form of magic. Witches rely on spells, incantations, rituals, and tools to channel power. Whereas the magic Elves wield is a natural extension of who they are. It is part of their biological and spiritual core.
