"I did cancel it, but it's okay, little mate," Leo murmured. Sensing my distress, he cupped my face in his large, warm hands. "We can hold the ceremony whenever you are ready. For now, I can swear you into the pack so you can mind-link with everyone. But I am a little pissed that you didn't tell me you were in danger. As much as I love what you did for Levi, I hate seeing you in harm's way. I can never lose you, Gloria. No more running off to play the hero, okay?"
He gave me a stern, Alpha look that made me smile. I could feel the residual waves of his worry radiating through the bond, but his love for me completely overrode it. It flooded my chest so intensely that my heart skipped a beat. "Yes, my Alpha daddy," I teased. Leo let out a low, playful growl, his eyes darkening.
