The situation at CY Family Hospital has become calmer and under control now. Gema walked to the cafeteria to buy a glass of his favorite espresso coffee. He was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief when Doctor Ali finished treating the middle-aged man who had panicked him just a moment ago.

“Mr. Gema, what do you want to buy?” said one of the cafeteria waitresses as she winked at Gema. The woman tried to seduce Gema. But it seems in vain. Even though Gema was a friendly man to everyone, he was never seduced by any woman who wanted to seduce him.

“One cup of espresso coffee, Mrs. Aya. As usual.” Gema immediately said the point with a small smile and responded appropriately to the waitress.

Gema’s handsomeness is undeniable. Women of any age will immediately fall into the charming charm of this man, who is both a teacher and a doctor. Gema looks so flawlessly flawless. He has many talents and intelligence above the average of most people.

“Thank you, Miss Aya. Just keep the change.” Gema immediately grabbed a cup of coffee ready to be served by the waitress and paid for it. He then walked to one of the chairs in the hospital cafeteria.

Gema’s adoptive father founded CY Family Hospital in a remote village in an archipelagic country. Its location, which is very far from the hustle and bustle of the city, makes the medical staff limited in this hospital. This hospital is only one of the hospitals owned by Gema’s adoptive father and not the main hospital. The main hospital is still under construction and is located in downtown America.

“Dorr,” Leo said, intending to startle his childhood friend who was daydreaming while sipping a glass of espresso.

‘‘Cough … cough … cough ….’’ Gema choked on his drink in surprise when suddenly someone shouted at him so loudly. He then turned to the source of the loud noise while snorting lazily at Leo. “You couldn’t be calmer, could you, Leo? I might have a heart attack if you continue like that!” Gema complained to his childhood friend.

Leo then chuckled at Gema’s response. He was satisfied to tease Gema because Gema would always be surprised if he were treated like that. Leo then immediately sat down on the empty chair in front of Gema.

“Is the operation over?”

Leo nodded in approval of Gema’s words. He then stretched his body which felt very sore from having to operate on a patient for hours. “It’s not like you usually come to the hospital. Don’t you have any classes to teach today?” Leo then immediately grabbed the espresso coffee that was in Gema’s hand quickly. He drank the Gema’s espresso coffee until there was nothing left.

“Tsk, you can buy it yourself! Why do you always steal my food and drink?! I even took only one gulp of it!” Gema looked lazily at Leo and snorted in annoyance after realizing that his espresso coffee was gone.

“Of course, I prefer to rob. Pay is spending money. Whereas grab from you is free! I don’t want to spend money, that’s why I always take your food and drink!” Leo joked with Gema. Then they both laughed at each other’s behavior.

Gema was very familiar with Leo’s attitude, which was always like that. Leo is the only friend that Gema has had since his biological parents died a few years ago. Gema already considered Leo as his brother.

“Are you very free now? Why not go teach your students?” Leo asked again while playing a royal battle game on his cellphone.

“I came here because Gita contacted me. She was very panicked about the condition of a very serious patient, and Doctor Ali had not yet arrived. Of course, I still have classes to teach. But it’s already this hour, and it’s too late to go back to school now. So I decided to ask permission not to teach the afternoon class with Bella’s father.”

Leo nodded in understanding. Even though he was focused on playing a game on his cellphone, he still listened to Gema seriously. “After this, where are you going?” Leo then asked Gema’s next plan after back from the hospital.

“I’m going to take a short walk to a book and cassette bazaar held in the square near the city center. Why ask that? Do you want to come with me there?”

Leo shook his head slowly. “No, I have a blind date after this. Instead of looking at books, it’s better to meet lots of beautiful and sexy women, right?”

Gema chuckled again at the odd answer from his childhood friend. Because Leo’s playboy attitude never changed one bit. When he was in junior high school, Leo started dating a lot of girls at his school. Then moving on to high school, he started dating his junior and his senior in the school. And now, when he’s an adult, Leo enjoys blind dates with foreign women. Gema really can’t stop thinking about Leo’s behavior.

“Why do you like changing women so much, Leo?”

Leo then turned from the phone screen to Gema. He looked at Gema in bewilderment, and he said, “Isn’t it obvious? That’s because all the women I’ve met and been with only seem attractive at first. After that, they look so boring.”

“What a sadistic man!” sneer Gema and accompanied by a small laugh from him.

“Yeah, an acute single like you wouldn’t know that, right? That’s why you should try dating at least one of the women. There’s no way you’d want to stay single for the rest of your life, right?” Leo sneered at Gema.

“I will think about that later. I still haven’t thought about being in a relationship with someone. Because I don’t think commitment is as much of a joke.”

“Huh?! Are you making fun of me, Gema?”

“No. But if you feel that way, don’t blame me. Blame yourself.”

Gema and Leo laughed again at their attitude towards each other.

Gema then glanced at his watch again to confirm what time it was. After a while, he got up from his seat and said, “I’ll go first. If there is another urgent patient situation, I hope you can handle it because I want to enjoy the day off this weekend.”

Leo huffed in annoyance. “Then, I will make your day off busy. Is it good that you relax while I’m on duty?!”

“Your main profession is a doctor, so accept it.”

“Tch, you are really cruel, Gema.” Leo stared lazily at Gema, who was already preparing to leave.

Meanwhile, Gema immediately took out his car key from his pocket and left it to Leo. “See you later. Do your job right! I will leave my car for you. But I will use your bike.”

“Why don’t you buy your own bike, anyway?! After all, in a small village like this do not bring a car! Very unfriendly to the environment, you know!” said Leo.

Gema ignored Leo’s words again. He then hurried away, leaving Leo, who was grumbling, annoyed, and confused at the same time.

Gema walked towards the parking lot where Leo’s bike was. After this, he wanted to go to a book and music cassette bazaar opened in the square near the city center on the bicycle.
