One week after Gema's aunt's death.
"Mr. Gemanantha Azriel, can you hear me?" said a young seventeen-year-old girl at her Biology teacher.
However, there was no answer from the teacher because the man named Gemanantha Azriel was focusing on the equipment in the school laboratory.
"Mr. Gema!" shouted the girl again and made the man who had the nickname Gema turn his head at last.
"What is it, Liora?" asked Gema briefly, but his focus remained back on the microscope in front of him.
"I can't understand the catabolism material. Do you have a reference book for the chapter?" said the girl named Liora, who is one of Gema's students.
Gema took a deep breath as he looked back at his student in confusion. "Are you kidding me, Liora? You already understand the material very well. You even got the highest score in last week's exam. What material did you not understand in that chapter?"
The girl named Liora smiles a little after receiving praise from the teacher, who has always been her idol. And even Liora managed to distract the teacher's attention from his simple research. "Do you believe that I understand the chapter very well, Mr. Gema?" said Liora again and now began to approach the teacher.
Gema chuckled, hearing Liora's words as if the girl was doubting her abilities and not confident. "You are my genius student. Of course, you should be able to understand the chapter easily."
"Is that true?" Liora put on an embarrassed expression to hear the teacher's words.
"Of course. Do you have anything else to say? If not, please give me some time to resume research again. And don't forget to study the latest chapter in Biology." Gema reminded the student.
"Alright, Mr. Gema. Since there's nothing else I want to talk to you about, I'll go first. Thank you very much for the advice and the compliment." Liora immediately stepped out after saying this to the teacher. A small smile was visible on the corners of Liora's lips as she exited the laboratory room.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Gema resumed his research activities which had been delayed. He was so bored that he finally chose to do simple research in the laboratory located at the school where he taught.
But not long after, Gema's cell phone rang. The twenty-one-year-old man then immediately picked up the connected call.
"What's wrong, Gita?" asked Gema to the caller he knew well.
"…."
Gema suddenly stood up from his sitting position and was no longer focused on the ongoing research. Gema shifted his focus to an explanation from the woman named Gita on the call that still connected.
"Isn't there anyone on duty there? Where's Ali?" asked Gema and raised his voice slightly in surprise as well as shock.
"…."
"Fine, I'll come there right away. Please deal with it first." Gema immediately hung up the connected call quickly and immediately grabbed the car keys, which were located on one of the tables in the laboratory.
Gema took the time to glance at the watch hanging on his left hand for a moment. Then he immediately got out of the lab room and rushed to a place.

The woman who Gema called by the name of Gita in the call connected to his cellphone a few moments ago greeted Gema in the ER hallway with several folders in hand.
"This is a report on the patient's condition, Mr. Gema," said the woman named Gita with a face that looked very panicked. In an instant, the sheet of paper inside moved from Gita's hand to Gema's hand.
Gema immediately read the report in the folder carefully. The first report shows a tick in the self-data form followed by a scribble of complaints of fainting due to fatigue, shortness of breath, overweight, and edema.
The report was a report suffered by a patient, who was a middle-aged man—a middle-aged man who should rest in his old age but has a job as a porter.
Indeed, there is nothing wrong with the profession. Whatever the work, as long as it does not deviate from the applicable law, it is okay to do it. It's just that, considering the worst risk with edema, swelling of the lower legs, especially after Gema saw the patient's condition. The patient, whose name is Raden Sanjaya, is lying weakly with the help of an oxygen mask. His chest was moving up and down rapidly.
"There is a possibility of cardiomegaly," Gema guessed when he saw the screen beside the patient's bed showing complex numbers. Pressures up to 232/120 are usually capable of causing a stroke in the patient, including the signs from the anamnesis that Gema had read from the sheet a while ago.
Gema glanced at the woman named Gita and asked, "Have you tried contacting Doctor Ali?" Gema refers to one of the specialists in cardiology who takes care of heart and blood vessel disease in the hospital.
"Yes, Mr. Gema. Previously, he directed us with some medicines, but the patient was having difficulty breathing," said Gita, who was right behind Gema.
"We can't decide. This is Doctor Ali's part. Are there any more test references?" Gema asked Gita again and immediately put on the stethoscope, manually confirming the rapid heartbeat every second that passed, checking the dilation of the pupils in his eyes.
After pressing on the surface of the swollen skin, Gema sure enough, it's edema, fluid that builds up under the skin.
"Still waiting for the results of the blood test and x-ray, Sir."
"There are more?"
"Drugs requested are out of stock and not available in the warehouse."
"Is there a risk of allergies?" Gema flipped through the sheet in his hand. Ensured that the patient did not have allergies and provided that the medication was needed.
"Nothing, Sir."
"Then what about his family?"
"His family hasn't come yet, Sir. His co-workers escorted this middle-aged man."
Gita then stepped in after to make sure the infusion and oxygen hoses were running correctly. Meanwhile, Gema turned around and ushered him first through a particular hallway for medics.
"Aren't there other doctors on duty right now?"
"There are Mr. Leo and Mr. Oguz on duty, Sir. However, the two of them are working on hit-and-run victims and are performing surgery."
'Gita's explanation is very tolerable. However, this delayed my workday and my teaching assignments at school. Why doesn't papa recruit more doctors at this hospital? Is it because this hospital has just been built and is in a remote enough area that he doesn't think much of it?' Gema thought, grumbling at having to do double work.
"Try to call Doctor Ali again. And tell him that the patient's condition is urgent and needs immediate treatment."
