Elara’s POV The world exploded into noise. Kael’s body collided with Sera’s, and they went down together in a tangle of limbs and fury. The knife spun away, glinting in the pale morning light, disappearing into the undergrowth. Sera screamed, a sound of pure rage and clawed at Kael’s face. “Get off me!” “No!” Kael pinned her wrists to the ground. “I won’t let you do this!” Around us, the clearing was chaos.
