Finding Truth

~~~~~Angel Pov~~~~~

I woke up early trying to make sense of everything that my father had told me and where I came from. Just knowing that I did not come from that pack made it hard to believe it was all a lie and could I believe anything that he told me. I knew after we discovered that I was not mute that there had to be a lot more going on then just keeping quiet and hidden.

Sitting on the bed rubbing my still flat belly as I sat there confused and trying to make sense of it all. I slowly slipped out of bed to go to the bathroom when Kira moved in his sleep grabbed my hand and I tried to pull my hand from his.

He stirred and opened his eyes slowly, "Where are you going, love?"

"To the bathroom then I want to talk to you about where I came from," I whisper as I look over at Robin.

"Yea you look tired though you should sleep it's not just you anymore."

"I know but this is important."

"Okay hurry back."

I kissed his head as he rubbed his eyes and I walked to the bathroom to quickly go pee.

I closed my eyes as my stomach was doing flips with either me being nervous or it was the morning sickness. After I finished I washed my hands quickly and I opened the door heading back to the bed.

I saw that Kira was sitting up on the bed with his phone as I sat beside him.

"So, what is making it so you can't sleep, love?" he asked as he put his phone to the side.

"Everything that he ever told me was a lie like the story about my mother thinking that I was a monster from the day I was born and I could not help but believe it because I was too young to remember, just like when my mother attacked him but I could barely remember because I was losing to much blood," I whimpered as I put my head in my hands.

"That's normal but did you ever see your "mother" after that day," Kira asked rubbing my back.

"No, that's the thing I never saw her again but I was never allowed to leave my room. That man told me she was killed for trying to kill me and I'm starting to think that she was trying to return me and he attacked both her and  me."

"That could be plausible is there anything else?"

"I never remember her being nothing but kind to me and she started to recognize my features and kept me close to her at all times."

"Okay that is something to go off of love and we can check missing persons to see if you are in there."

I could only nod as I lean into Kira and I start to sob. Kira wrapped his arms around me pulling me close as I cried more as I started to have issues breathing causing me to hiccup.

"Shh... relax love your safe," he whispered as he rubbed circles on my back

"W-W-What i-if she died trying to return me to my biological parents." I hiccupped out with a lot of effort.

"She may have but she was trying to save you."

I could only nod as I started to feel sleepy and I fell asleep with tears flowing down my cheeks.

~~~~~Kira POV~~~~~

I watched you exhaust herself from her hysterics over the what-ifs about what happened when she was young. She was so distraught about what happened to the woman that cared for her and what could have happened when she tried to return her to her rightful parents.

I stroked her hair as she sleeps and I slowly slide down on the bed to lay with her on my chest. She cuddled closer as I looked at the clock and groaned as it was only 2:30 am.

Of course, she had to wake up this early knowing that she is pregnant yet I could not fault her for the worry though. It was all about that man telling her lying to her for all these years and it honestly made me even more pissed then I was yesterday when I got that letter.

I tried to relax after all the information that Angel gave me but it wasn't working at all since that was running through my head on a loop.

So I just laid there staring at the ceiling for hours before I finally dozed off.

~~~~~Angel POV~~~~~~

I awoke with a start when I felt the queasy feeling return with a vengeance and I bolted off the bed and ran to the bathroom. I kneel by the toilet and threw up what little I had in my stomach and I whimpered softly as another bought came causing me to keep my head in the toilet.

"Angel are you okay?" Kira asked as he walked into the bathroom.

I shook my head as the nausea eased up and I leaned back against the tub panting.

"Morning sickness I take it." he groaned as he sat beside me and rubbed my back.

"Yea it was a rude awakening for me too," I mutter as I lean into him as I put a hand over my belly.

"Looks like it is already a troublemaker."

"You're telling me considering I have to carry it to term."

"I know and I will do what I can to make it easier in you."

"Yea and Robin will be up soon so we should get her a room close to us with new clothes."

Kira nodded as he stood and held a hand out to me to take. I took it and he pulled me up and I walked slowly over to the sink grabbing my toothbrush. I quickly brushed my teeth before leaving the bathroom and went over to Robin who was sleeping soundly.

"Robin honey it's time to get up and start the day," I whisper in her ear as she stirs and grumbling.

"Mommy 5 more minutes," Robin grumbled sleepily and I stared down at her before looking at Kira in complete surprise at what just came out of her mouth.
