They had such cruel names for Angel as I carried her I could feel her tears soak into my shirt as Laurel lead me to her room on the top floor and farthest from the stairs. The hallway was dim and when we arrived at the door I could see that I was dented and in rough shape.
"This is where she stayed." I looked at laurel as I felt Angel stiffen in my arms as Laurel looked at me.
All she did was nod and when we entered it shocked me as I saw a lot of books and not much of anything else and her bed was on the floor with an old comforter. this room was barely livable as the beautiful Angel I saw a well-used vanity that held very little and a cracked and some pieces were missing.
Angel looked up at me just as I heard her sweet voice echoed in my head, "This was my only face place and I would like to bring all the books, please."
"Of course my Angel, and your clothes okay," I said as I set her on the bed and I looked at her face half expecting that there would be makeup going down but there was none.
I saw Laurel quickly started to pack away Angel's clothes as I saw her playing with the dress she was wearing and I love the fit on her along with the contrast with her hair.
"Angel, do you want your everyday outfits," Laurel asked Angel and that confused me as I didn't even know her style but it didn't matter.
Angel nodded as she grabbed my hand before she started to bite her lip and she pulled on it causing me to fall on the mattress. She leaned into me and let out a sigh as she started to relax as Laurel quickly finished so we could leave this hell hole that they called a high ranked pack.
"All ready Angel lets get these in the car so we can get you to your new home," Laurel said as she had a big duffel bag ready with a backpack that Angel grabbed.
"You're coming with us Laurel plus Angel will need your help talking with her till they learn to sign," I said as I pick Angel back up causing her to drop the bag hard onto the wood floor and she gasped and the duffel.
"Don't worry Angel the figurine is in my purse and ill get myself packed as fast as I can." She said making me confused as she ran with the backpack from the room to hers.
"what figurine?" I asked her as she cuddled into me.
"It's the only this that I have from my Grandparents on my mothers before they died, but my father had started to look for it as it is very important to that part of my family lineage," she said in my head as I nodded.
I started to make my way down the stairs when I caught the scent of Laurel catching up to use with on suitcase.
"Let's get to your new home so I can inform my Pack that we are no longer allied to the Shadow Moon Pack because of the way they treated my mate," I said as I walked us out of this disgrace of a packhouse with Angel in my arms as I walked up to the limo I had arrived in.
Malcolm was waiting by the trunk of the car and held his hand out for the bags. I let him take the duffle back from me and I walked over to the open door and I set Angel on the seat and she scooted over just a bit to make room for me beside her.
Once I got into the car Angel leaned on me as Malcolm and Laurel both got into the car. I looked out the window to see the rest of the Alphas standing on the front step and starting to head to there cars to leave.
