The Feeling of Betrayal

Angel POV

I was laying on the bed this morning trying to be patient well I was waiting for the doctor to give me the real results that my father had hid from me. It didn't help that Kira had to go run an errand before I was even awake as I curled up on the bed holding the blanket to my naked body. I didn't want to move because I was tired and Kira told me before we fell asleep to stay in bed.

It didn't help that I was sore and didn't have the ambition want to leave the bed to do anything but relax in this warm bed. I reach over to the bedside table grabbing the remote for the huge flat screen tv that was mounted on the wall and I turned it on smiling a little. The channel that came on was my favourite crime channel and I stood from the bed.

I winced as I stood there as the pain radiated through me, making me lip my way over to my dresser pulling out some PJs to of them with some panties. I lipped my way back over to the bed so I could sit while I dressed to reduce the pain. I slowly dressed before laying back on the bed when I grabbed my phone.

I opened my texts from Laurel and I messaged her.

"Hey, Laurel can you bring me up some breakfast?" I asked her.

"Sure, anything specific?" she replied

"French toast please I can barely move."

"Got it and I'll bring you some tea and juice."

I sighed as I put my phone down and concentrated on the TV. I rubbed my sore belly as I watched CSI waiting for Laurel to come up with my food.

It wasn't long before Laurel came to the room with a tray of food and to glasses of liquid.

"Here we go Ang, you look like you had a rough night last night with Kira." she laughed as I sat up wincing a little.

"Yea you can say that again," I whisper.

she placed the tray over my lap before she froze and looked at me shocked at the fact that I spoke.

"Ang please tell me that it was you that just spoke."

I nodded slowly as I started to eat.

"So when did this happen?"

"Yesterday when Kira and I Mated and consummated it." I smiled at her.

"I hope a doctor is looking into this."

"There is, her  name is Lavender."

Laurel nodded as she climbed into the bed beside me and watched the TV as I ate my breakfast happily as it tasted amazing.

As I finished my food, I leaned back with my tea and sipped it closing my eyes when the door to the room opened. I caught my favourite sent of Kira enter the room and I opened my eyes as I smiled happily.

"Love I'm happy that you are still in bed resting, I was a little rough on you yesterday," he said sitting on the bed as I finished off my tea and smiled.

"Of course I can barely move baby," I whisper as I take his hand.

"This is my queue to leave," Laurel said as she got up and left the room as I wave after her.

I looked at Kira as he held my hand tightly.

"So where did you go this morning, I missed you," I muttered as I look up at him.

"I needed to pick something I ordered for you." He said pulling a little velvet box out of his jean pocket and opened it, "You are my mate and I love you, so will you marry me?"

I looked at the ring and my mouth dropped open and I nodded my head as I whispered, "Of course."

He smiled as I let him take my hand and put the beautifully cut diamond ring on my finger.

"Love the doctor also wants to talk to us about what is in your medical file."

I nodded and I looked at him, "You are going to have to carry me if it is outside this room."

"She is coming here I promise."

"When?"

"In a few minutes love."

With that, I relaxed back into the pillows as Kira put a hand on my belly and rubbed it softly making me relax as I looked at Kira.

"I can't wait to see if you are pregnant but we will keep trying till you can take the test," he said as he rubbed my belly more.

"Me either but you need to give me a few days to rest okay."

There was a knock at our door and Kira got up to open it. When he opened the door he let Lavender into the room holding a big file folder.

"Sorry I took so long to get back with the file but it was hidden at your old pack." she said putting it on the desk, "I did read through it and from the notes that doctor put in your folder saying that you being mute was only going to be a few months, but your father approached him to tell you that it was permanent to keep you quiet about what happened that day. Also, you were born prematurely because your mother was beaten badly and almost lost you."

I stared at her trying to prosses the betrayal of what my father did to me to keep me quiet because I barely remembered all the details of what Had happened that day.

Lavender continued, "Also it looks like your father was pushing the doctor to remove your vocal cords but he refused and disappeared that night. So you are going to get more of a voice as you use it and I hope that you and the Alpha bring a beautiful pup into this world." 

I nodded as I covered my mouth as tears formed in my eyes. this information was not what I was expecting but I realized that I was not the monster my father was. The tears ran down my face as I felt Kira put a hand on my cheek.

"He is so dead if he tries anything like that again or gets near you," he whispered as he got in the bed beside me and moved my hand from my lips and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.
