"She assaulted me!" Diana cried out, pointing at me.
"And? What are you going to do about it?" Isaac said gruffly.
Aleks grabbed her arm and yanked her off the floor, then forced her to sit down on the chair again.
"What do you mean what will I do? I will report her to the police!" she exclaimed.
Julie laughed. "Oh, honey. You have no idea who you are dealing with here, do you?"
All eyes turned to Isaac, who stepped forward and crossed his arms. A chill ran down my spine as he spoke. "Diana, you should probably just forget this ever happened. If you don't, you might regret it. We have our ways of handling things." He shot a glance in my direction. "And I don't think Everleigh will try to save you this time."
Diana's fear only increased as the situation began to sink in.
