I jerked awake when something cold was splashed on my face. A whine left my lips as I tried to open my eyes.
"Wakey… wakey, baby, " A familiar voice said. It sounded far away. I couldn't pinpoint who it was.
My eyes were shut like they were glued together. It felt like a stone was placed over them.
After a few seconds of trying, I forced open my eyes but quickly shut them because of the blinding light.
"Open your eyes and look at me, " The person said again.
I focused my vision on the figure in front of me through my heavy eyelids. It was all a blur at first but then it all became clear.
"Surprise! " Philip grinned, showing all of his teeth.
I frowned in confusion and then gasped, all the things that happened today crashed down on me like an avalanche.
