Jesse Friday is my favorite day. I have music and art classes on Friday. So time flies easily on Friday. I skipped down the path as I thought about today. It was nice. I was relaxed and I didn't feel tired like usual. Dylan and I went to the library and got some new books. I'm so excited to read them today. It was some historical fiction. I saw Tristan with his friend Jake. They smiled at me when they passed by us in the hall. I was really surprised when Jake smiled at me. We never talked to each other. Maybe Tristan told him about me? I smiled at the thought of Tristan talking about me. I was so lost in thoughts I didn't even realize that I reached home. Mom and were already home as I went in. They were dressed up? Where are they going? Mom turned to look at me when she heard the sound of the door closing. "Jesse, you're here. We were waiting for you," She said, walking up to me. " What's up, guys? Where are you both going? " I asked confused while I put my bag on the chair beside me. "Jesse, aunt Jane is in the hospital. Nothing serious, her delivery date is a little earlier than expected so we have to go there. Lisa has to come with us cause the kids are home alone. She said she'll look after them till tomorrow. So can you call one of your friends to stay over? We don't want you to be alone in here," Mom looked nervous as she spoke. "Chill mom, I'll call Dylan over," I said with a light chuckle. She worries way too much. "So can we go now? " Lisa said, walking out from the kitchen. "When did you get here? " I didn't see her coming in. "I came before you. A friend dropped me off," She said shrugging. "I cooked dinner so you don't have to make anything. Just heat it up before eating," She said before kissing my head. I just nodded at her. "Bye son, take care," Dad ruffled my hair. I smiled and waved at them as they walked out. A few minutes after they went out, I decided to go to my room and freshen up. I took a short and a baggy T-shirt to wear. After I had a shower I called Dylan. He picked up at the third ring. "What's up!? " He screamed to the phone. I moved the phone away from my ear. This loud i***t! "Can you come over? I'm alone here," "What happened? Where's everyone? " "My aunt is in the hospital. Mom and dad went there and Lisa is taking care of the kids," "Oh... I'm sorry, Jesse, I can't right now. I'm currently on my way to grandma's place and mom is with me," " Oh... It's okay, I'll manage," "Hey! Why don't you call Tristan? I'm sure he will come," "Tristan? I don't know... " " Come on, call him. He'll come for sure. By the way, I gotta go now, I'm driving. " "Okay, bye." "Bye," . . . Should I call Tristan? What if he's busy? What if he doesn't wanna come? But I don't wanna be alone and there's no harm in asking right? I took a deep breath before taking the phone in my hand. I dialed Tristan and called him quickly before I changed my mind. He picked up at the fourth ring. "Jesse?" Another sleepover? ◐.̃◐
