“Maileah, honey, I’m leaving you another message. I thought I might reach you before you left for work.” April hesitated. “I’m on my way to Seattle and want to see you. I know you’re busy, but it’s important that we meet while I’m there. I’m worried that you’re not returning my calls.” After she hung up, she saw Deb heading toward her through the airport terminal. This morning, they wore jeans, T-shirts, and lightweight jackets. Today would be a work day for them, as April had arranged to meet with movers on their arrival.
