“Well, look at you go.” Deb wrapped her arm around April’s shoulder and lowered her voice. “Have you seen you-know-who?”
April shook her head. “And I’m not looking for him.”
“Plenty of fish in the sea, that’s for sure.” Deb glanced back at the crowd. “I need to talk to a couple of people here about furnishings for the hotel. Mind if I leave you?”
“I’ll be fine. I’ll join my mother in a moment.”
Deb lifted her chin toward Ella’s table, where a crowd had gathered around her mother. “If you can find a seat. I don’t think you have to worry about Ella being left alone. And she looks so happy. I’m glad to see her feeling so much better.”
