As he was being driven to the college, Mitch only half listened while John talked about his afternoon with Teddy.
“It was wonderful! I was amazed he agreed to come inside my cottage.”
Mitch knew he’d have to sound suitably shocked. “That probably wasn’t wise. This bear…”
“Teddy,” John insisted.
Mitch sighed. “Teddy is a wild animal and you could have been seriously hurt.”
“Rubbish. Teddy’s really gentle with me. I’ve slept with him a few times—you know all this.” John sent Mitch a confused look.
